Oh well, I have to start up some times one way or another, so...

What is your favorite game?

I'd say Doom for Super NES for me. That's a classic game. The music, the graphics, the game play, it's all there. Oh no! Isn't that what the kids that shot up Columbine played that made them go insane?

I've played more Doom than both of those kids combined could have, and I am not nearly as crazy as them. Doom for 64 sucks compared to Doom for Super NES, and I believe Doom 64 isn't even 3D... what kind of crap is that?

I guess if I had to pick only one, I would go with Dungeon Keeper 2.... but if I could generalize a bit, I guess I would have to say strategy games in general ("Command & Conquer", "Civilization *", etc.).

Command & Conquer is some good stuff. I used to play that a lot back when I used Playstation for entertainment. You wouldn't happen to know if there is a version or two of it available for the PC, would you Demo?

command and conquer was originally made for the PC... infact its alot better for the PC since they didnt screw all the graphics up in the conversion.

there are alot of them too.. C&C.. C&C red alrert, tiberian sun, and Red Alert 2

red alert 2 is by far the best c&c game..

oh yes, my favorite game is starcraft

I think I may have posted it before the data loss, but I'll do it again: New favorite game - WARCRAFT  III.

Ye gods, how I loves  it.

I'm gonna have to go with the PC.  It's capable of so much more than all the gaming systems out there... and you can always just get an emulator for all those systems.

I have several, but my "numero uno" would have to be Chrono Trigger for SNES. I'm sure that's EVERYONES fav. Doom, Tales of Phantasia, etc. All the "old school" classics we all know and love...I think...

Same here. But for me, SC is one of those games where you play it for hours and hours, then wind up bored. I always get bored playing online, because everyone always uses the SAME combat strategies for EVERY game. Gets annoying after awhile. I'm hoping Blizzard will make SC 2...now THERE'S a scary thought...

They should make a game where you can either be Israelis or Palestinians. Think about it, we heard about it at least 20 times a day, and it's basically the same thing everyday: someone gets killd from a sucide bomber.

Why not have the plot of the game to take over the Gaza Strip, and then battle anyone else who thinks that killing the other person is wrong.

You know people would start bitching about a game like that.  Just look at what the accused D&D of doing back in the 80's.

But then, are there groups of people going around insulting ethnic minority groups?

Oh wait...that's what the government is for....silly me...

But either way, the game would score good with the markets, but only for a short period of time.

i like starcraft because there are infinite strategies, and it's not a game you just win and get done with.  and when i used to play online in a clan, if someone used a cheap tactic we'd all go kick their e-ass

My favorite game is and will always be -

Space Quest 4: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers

I remember playing this game for hours on end, wasting time I didn't even know I had, back when I had more of a life then I have now. It's sad that the last released episode was 6. There was supposed to be a SQ 7 but Scott Murphy had quit the project right before SQ5 came out and Mark Crowe wasn't about to do what Sierra On-line wanted to do with the game. 1st person shooter...for space quest? Eww.

Plug alert!

I would reccomend this game to anyone who likes hot chicks, has mucho time and patience, and is good at solving puzzles without having their head explode.

I liked those series too. I liked all the sierra "type a command" games. My all time favorite was Hero's quest. Later they came out with the standard icons (walk, look, grab, etc.) I hated them becase it made the games much easier. When you were stuck, you picked an icon and clicked anywhere and everywhere till something happened. I wish they still make games where you type commands. It's forces you to be a bit more creative and alert.

I don't know if any of you will remember these, but my all time favorite series were the Gold Box games, AD&D series, love those things.  But for newer games, I'd have to go with Fallout/Fallout 2 and SC.

I think I have one of those old Gold Box AD&D games sitting around.  The one I have is "The Curse of the Azure Bonds".  They're impossible to play on newer computers, though.  It just speeds out of control the moment it starts up.

Kind of a new topic:

What game do you think had the MOST impact on the gaming industry as we know it.  and please don't say pong.

i think it would have to be Wolfenstein 3D.  Quite possibly the best FPS ever made, even in todays market (Graphics don't do it all for me, save Lara Croft  evil .) There was a plot (I think, I was like 5 when I played it), and the guys looked funny when they died.
