A big FUK U  to all the softdrink companies who have their regular drink and their diet drink packaged nearly identical. Tonite is the second time I've inadvertantly grabbed a Pepsi only to get all the way back to the office and crack it open and take a swig and find out it a FUCKING DIET drink.  angry

Or even better is how companies like Coke advertise some of their drinks as "only 5 calories per serving!" on a 16 ounce bottle, however when you read the fine print, there are actually two servings in the single-serving bottle.

10 calories isn't a whole lot, but it still is misleading.

Yep. This bottle right here gives "per serving" data; then if you dig around, you see "Servings per container = 4"

Softdrink labels?

The Dumbfuckers Engineering Team just tried to start a wet circuit breaker, and you're complaining about softdrink labels? Can we trade lives, 12? I mean, just for one night.  tongue

No mistaken identity is funnier than an original Coke can and an original Busch can.

What I don't get is why they have, say, Coke and Coke Zero.  Then they proceed to say how Coke Zero tastes *exactly* like regular coke, but with zero calories, or what have you.  If Coke Zero tastes exactly the same, but is even marginally more healthy, why not just make regular Coke have zero calories?

They tried changing the coke recipe years ago.  It didn't work out for them.

Ain't that the truth. Apparently Atlantic Canada is the only place in North America where Pepsi regularly outsells Coke. (They're both beat by the knock off store brands though)

Part of their geography is due to them being from North Carolina. So you'll find Pepsi more concentrated on the Atlantic coast; and even more so here in the southeast. Worldwide, they've always been behind Coke in marketing and name recognition.
Personally, I prefer Pepsi to Coke if I have an option; but it's almost like choosing between "off-white" and "eggshell".

EDIT: I forgot BBQ and Nascar, we want to clog your arteries and lower your IQ too.

Well I happen to be addicted to soda (don't laugh, it can happen) and I, as a connoisseur, can tell you that there really is a distinct difference in taste. Coke is sharper, "spicier," if you will, will Pepsi is more mild, "bland," if you will.

I like the beer commercials where they say X has "more taste" than Y.  More taste?  Not more flavor, or better taste?  How does one measure taste?

Dog crap probably has more taste than a lot of things, for that matter.
