Hey fellow forumites, what is everyone's end of the world conspiracy, if any? Do you think it is going to happen or is it all b.s.? My take on it is that I really hope it doesn't happen and I think if it were to happen it would more or less play out like the movie 2012, minus the giant boats.

In fact, i have one conspiracy theory for myself. There's one interesting way to explain 2012 rush - film advertising. Why not? Viral marketing can do that. To me it is way more likely than the end of the world.  |

The problem is, the Mayan Calendar does not end in 2012. What ends is another cycle of the Mayan Calendar. When one cycle ends, another begins. This will be the 14th time around. So starting December 22, 2012, we'll have another 144,000 days until the end of the next cycle -- that's 144,000 more days of idiotic new agers fretting about the End Days.

yeah i dont really think there is a set date, thats stupid but if something did happen by chance i would be pissed, people would be bragging "i knew i would die today and you said i wouldnt!"
i would try to explain to them that i stand by my choice to say it wasnt a set date but like debating evolution to christians it just doesnt get through.
