Propaganda!!!

Simply put its using broken logic to show Obama in a bad light. Is it a coincidence that most educated Americans prefer Obama to Hillary? With the same logic we can now say that only stupid people back Hillary? Broken Logic is just that, Broken. It would be my hope that a majority of American's do not believe all of this. Just for the record it is only customary to put your hand over your heart during the Pledge of Allegiance not during the National Anthem. So in actuality would it be Hillary and Edwards who are at fault for not knowing American customs and understanding when to and not to cover your heart?

Just my two cents.

Welcome... The onlyest thing I can say to the Vampire LARP thing is at least you know its pretend.. I have met some strange critters that believe they are actual vampires.

Live in DC here, so I'm not that far away either. I also hike in the general area around Shennandoah and Potomac Rivers. Best of luck to you in your new life at the geekery :)

Rush sucks, real smart people listen to metal, and not to bloated talk show hosts with their own money making agendas :)

You know it occurs to me that there is a post of quotes made by other forum posters that have been found humorous. I thought maybe it would be nice to make a list of those priceless quotes and questions made by the stupid people that surround us every day.

For example:

I work in a government high level environment that deals with network security/ digital forensics (Big Brother type stuff) I was posed these questions by and analyst:

Why do web servers sit so close to the internet?
How are hacking and security related?
Why do you take two 15 minute smoke breaks and one half hour smoke break if we only get an hour for lunch?
If all we do all day is stare at other people's traffic, how are we suppose to keep up with the "insert sports game here" score?
Why do we have to watch CNN all day, Wouldn't someone tell us if there was a disaster we had to worry about?

(all from one person and it just keeps going) :slap

So because I'm bored please continue the list.. I really need to know that I'm not the only person on the planet who deal with people this stupid.

I feel oddly sickened and aroused... pretty much the same way I felt after the original.

Kidding.. god I'm a sick, sick man.

Is it strange that this is how I view McCain?
McCain = The Brain
Bush = Pinky

The Christian camp I attended in my youth was very similar to the depiction in this movie. That being said it took a few life altering events to make me realize that this is all we have and to make the best of it while I have it. Cheers to you all and don't let the community of nut balls keep you down.

I believe my brain just imploded.  :|

So to keep this forum going... May I inquire how you feel a forum would make you more intelligent and how that will help the others your going to college with? Has college become so mentally hebetudinous that you feel the need to impart the wisdom from a few internet forum postings? This reminds me so much of the guy in my office that thinks the "Onion" is a real news paper because he found it in print. :-o

Could follow the Leprechaun mentality, When they ran out of ideas they did (blank) in space, (blank) in da hood, and (blank) back in da hood. I think Karate Kid in da hood could sell. Perhaps the end of the movie involves a drive by. Or Karate Kid in Space could be cool with the "crane" kick being done in zero gravity and forcing him into an air lock where he is later expunged and suffocated in the vacuum of space. (sorry not a wholesome movie fellow) When all else fails, no ideas left for a sequel, just change the scenery and nobody will ever watch it again :)

(P.S. Chuck Norris kicked the Karate Kid's ass)

My world, a google news page written completely by the Obama Camp!!!
Full of dreams and Utopian outcomes, but no idea how to reach it.
The part about the Stupid Sexy Flanders books may be a little more hellish than utopian though.

PS Awesome by the way

Working on getting a degree in computer information systems so I can stop talking to average joes on the phone.

That never changes, lol.. my god I laughed for 5 minutes on that one.
In the computer world they are commonly referred to as LUsers (Losers) or a general pain in my ass. Then non technical people will always be there and the longer your in the computer industry the more you'll be like that doctor that always gets asked about those strange oozing rashes at the company picnic. I do wish you luck though, that degree will open all kinds of doors for you and (congrats) your new family. :)

I'm new as well but I'll give my welcome all the same :)

« on: June 11, 2008, 01:09:28 AM »
Easy way to word it, I am a constant student. Every time a Democrat is in the White House school loans go down, when Republicans are in the White House the cost of education skyrockets. Aside from that I have read and attended speaches for both (part of work as well; at least until the end of the month) In both speeches I have found McCain to be well spoken and a very passionate man.. but he seems to be passionate against everything I am for at times. I also cannot find where his true heart lies when it comes to war and peace. Obama is very outspoken and I have found myself to be more like minded to him. Also I have met him and he seems very genuine.
Could he be lost in thought and clueless to how politics work?
-- Most likely
Will he learn and attempt to carry out 90% of what he says?
-- I think he will succeed in about 2% of his original goals but that 2% puts us (as a country) in a better position than we are currently in.

I never pick the lesser of two evils, I find that overtime someone will emerge the better candidate and this time around I feel that is Obama.
Hope that isn't too long of a response.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get bobert to give me those random replys. If he did he would be like my best friend IRL (also Bobert)...

I can't use IRC at work either.. fear of death and all.. the Government is a tiny bit anal about anything inside the network going outside the network.. Forums are about the only form of chat I have access to now :(

<~~Educated Liberal

So I'm safe in saying my opinion is he is better than McCain in the theories in principals.
I would rather vote for someone with no plan than someone who will send me off to war or weaken the economy anymore than it is. You know if we keep this up we may turn this country into some kind of Peter Paul and Mary song (Puff the Magic Obama, Got the presidency, somehow in the autumn mist, He confused his constituency)

Poor attempt at humor.. probably; at least I tried.

Why is it nobody uses the IRC chat?.. took me about an hour to dig it out of the forums :(

And I hope you guys don't mind if I chill in there when I'm home bored.

Well if there is anything I can do to help, but programming and scripting isn't really a giant hobby of mine... most of my free time is spent playing wow and writing my book.

I must admit I had never thought of it that way. So how dose Obama recapture the female voter, aside from stripping at the local clubs?
