Chocolate chip cookies FTW but are sure Chips Ahoy are supposed to be chocolate chip? I recall the predominant taste being hardened lard. (That's what she said)
This. x10000000000 Chips Ahoy and chocolate chip cookies are not the same. Not by a long shot.

Oreo. By a not-small margin. Chips Ahoy is a sad excuse for something best made at home and eaten while hot and gooey. Oreos are not only great with milk, but also make fantabulous ice cream.

This makes the assumption that fans of the original are fans because of Shatner. What do you propose to call those who are fans because of the inimitable Leonard Nimoy?
"Right." "Correct" also works.

Fresh blood, with a sense of humor. Potential, it exists for this one.

Is it just me, or would anyone else like to see Rick Perry and Michelle Bachman have a battle royale over which one is REALLY the candidate chosen by God?
Brilliant! Especially if it's covered by Fox News. (Of course, I'd be equally interested in the coverage of Fox News's coverage of this battle royale. How much can one "newscaster" drool in 15 minutes?)

I'm trying to get from 235 down to about 190-ish in about a year's time. So far I've put on 2lbs. I think it's because my body's decided I need more muscle mass.

Welcome, and congratulations on posting in the proper forum to introduce yourself. You'd be surprised how many people are incapable of carrying out such a simple task.

Well, even Bobert occasionally shows glimpses of near-intelligence.

You are correct. My only reason to make the point is because it is a name; which shouldn't be "casualized". If it were anything else but a name; I would've said nicht.
reimero
"Rhymer O"
Reemaro
etc. In a name, it changes everything.
Irony! "Reimero" is actually a misspelling of my true last name. As such, it's not truly "German" and can therefore be pronounced however. Personally, I go with "ruh-MEE-roh." But there's actually no "correct" pronunciation.

FTFY Though it is a small omission, it effectively completely changes the actual name; as well as the pronunciation.
ö - o as in slow, go, no
o - o as in pot, not, hot
< / grammar German citizen>
Nice.
Actually, the German "ö" is pronounced more like the "ur" in "hurt", but without actually resolving the "r". For some reason, the anglicized version is generally pronounced "ay" (as in "Danke schön"), but that just completely rubs me the wrong way. In casual conversation, if you pronounce it "Shreddinger", you won't be too terribly far off, but everyone will know you're not a native speaker.

It depends on my mood and what the definition of "best" is. There are some truly astounding works out there I don't think I'll want to watch again. There are some movies out there that are by no means great which I could watch repeatedly without getting too sick of them. There are some movies I once thought were great that I've apparently outgrown. There are some movies out there that other people think are full of awesomeness and win which I just plain don't like.
