There might be. If you're into the whole 8-bit thing, check out The Gothsicles

Milwaukee-area band that works NES into a lot of their songs; the lead singer even wears one of the Power Glove thingys as part of his getup.

look up the minibosses.. the did covers on metroid and contra and a few others. pretty cool stuff. jeez, i havnt listened to them in a long time...

there's this site I once heard of, ocremix.com, or something. Video game remixes. And I have a prime acoustic guitar cover of the mario theme done by this local guy on a cd somewhere in my collection. If you bitch at me enough, I might rip it and send it somehow.
