OK, we're generally nice people over here at tehgeekery(OMFGLOL11!!!) but I for one don't appreciate people who drop in, don't introduce themselves, expect us to solve all their problems and then leave. If you are looking for tech support, perhaps you should try posting your problems in a tech support forum.

We're not a help desk. Do not be surprised if you get rude answers or no answers at all.

Boy, I wish I knew of this technique last week, when I was struggling with another HN questions-only thread? Rather than tortuously rephrase everything I wanted to say in the form of a question, all I needed to do was add a question mark on the end of whatever I'm posting? Brilliant? I'll have to remember that for next time?

Why, in an environment where you are represented only by the letters that you type into a text box, an avatar that you can pick form a limited list, and perhaps a signature quote/image, would you want to use anything other than proper English?
