I find System of a Down's album, "Toxicity", to be one of the best albums out there. It's pretty much the only one I can say that I like ALL the songs on the CD. However, they are starting to get ruined since I keep on seeing this one group of girls listening to them and making stupid "inside jokes" and generally acting like complete idiots. You'd have to see it to understand. You would say the same thing if they were listening to one of your more well-liked groups.

Thank god for system of a down, they are one of the few mainstream bands who are bringing diffrent music to the stand over the standard harmonic driven punk bands and the hip hop shit.

Nirvana is pretty good....by that I mean mostly in utero. Foo Fighters have good talent and have originality.
I have heard of coldplay and the hives, and to tell you the truth, I don't especially like either of them. I respect coldplay for being mellow, but the hives are just fucking annoying. They just sound STUPID.

My favourite bands are Korn, System of a Down(mostly because of their first album), a little nirvana, and of course dying fetus.

Korn - Pretty good, blatant music. Korn doesn't really hold anything back. Heavy guitars, real vocals. If you don't like it, then have a nice trip to pink flower land.

System - I think they are good because of the vocals, and guitar. It's just such an unused sound...its good, and catchy, without being annoying.

Nirvana - I won't say I worship Kurt Cobain because he was depressed and killed himself, but moreso that you could feel it when he singed. Not some of the shit that is played today that has no meaning.

!=NFG - Like fucking newfound glory...that is the worst shit to come out of a crappy genre in years. I mean, isn't punk about rebellion? How can you rebel with the gayest singer you've ever heard? Not to be homophobic, but GOD, he is just so gay sounding.

Dying Fetus - Who doesn't like the sound of blaring death metal in thier ears? Dying fetus is an american death metal band in their prime, producing un-corporatized tracks of kill kill kill. Not big on lyrics, but good to listen to. http://mikeleavage.gotthegeek.com <--There is one fetus track there in the DM section

Spot on!! i can tell you take music, as a subject quite seriously. Which is good, because not many people understand the importance of the art.

P.s isnt it ironic how he always sang about guns, and how he, well, you know the rest. dont you think?

"Wanna hear some Alanis Morisette? 'Isn't it ironic?' SUPERMAN'S PARALYYYYYYYZED!"

No bloody clue where that's from, but a freind of mine will just randomly blare that out sometimes. Speakin of potheads, Sublime sang about drugs all the time, though it was a drug decidedly different than the ganja that knocked the lead off.

ICP, Twiztid, Dark Lotus, Psychopathic Rydas  (Pretty much the same groups right there)

SoaD, KoRn, Slipknot (I liked them before they got this big, but they need another good album, Iowa wasn't that great), Pantera, Techno, Stone Sour, etc..

I agree with all of the above apart from SOAD.Toxicity was a great album and im looking forword to whatever the future holds for them.
True, Iowa was crap apart from about 5 tracks, Stone Sour's album is just repressed Slipknot, and isnt that good, i dont think until track 8 'Bother', which blew me away. i think both Slipknot and Stone Sour should make more tracks like that.

I have a very eclectic taste in music.  I dislike big corporate radio and detest the major record companies, so most of my stuff is older stuff or independent label stuff.

Right now in my CD player in the car I have the Bad Brains "I Against I", my favourite bands are probably Victim's Family and the Big Boys.  I also like jazz, zydeco, calypso, classical, Johnny Cash, rockabilly, psychobilly, industrial, electronic, just about anything really.

I went down to Fort Dixx yesterday, and was wearing my ICP hoodie.  Long discussion about how people think ICP sucks, was great.

Lemme ask people something.  To those of you who don't like ICP:  A)  Have you listened to them before?
B)  If you have, why don't you like them?

Just kind of wierd that everyone I meet hates them, and half of the people haven't listened to them before.  <boggle>

A) Regrettably, yes, though I'll never make the same mistake again.

B) They stink. Their inane 'lyrics' aside, they sound like shit that's playing instruments made out of shit.

It's an aquired taste.   If you aren't very serious and look at them in a humorous manner, you will love them.  If you look at them and try to be serious and think about how deep their lyrics are and how much musical value they have, you will probably hate them.

I look at everything in a humorous manner. They still suck.

You'll realize that sooner or later, I guarantee.
