I'm actually not seeing a lot of stuff I'd respond to around here so it'd take me awhile to make it to 100, unless I flood and spam post, which might get me banned.

100, to me, a n00b, is a high number, especially since I'm not a forum whore. 50 seems reasonable.

There are things I'd like to respond to or post in the Hardware like peoples opinions on content management systems and I was going to add an opensource 3d render to that one thread in there, but alas, I can't..

I have no idea. I've been trying to figure it out myself. I think it counts against your NEGATIVE when you give someone Positive. Not sure yet about the other way; if you get a bit of bad by doling out only bad.
And obviously, it counts whichever direction someone gives you...

No, it's a freeforall. If you give positive rep to someone, it doesn't affect yours at all. Same with negative.

Though I figured out that the first time you give someone positive karma to whom you've already given negative karma, or vice versa, it balances out and removes whichever one you gave first.

So if I gave someone with 10 positive karma one negative karma point, putting them at, say, -10...then later on gave them a positive karma, they'd be back up to 10/-9.

And I think that the karma isn't such a good statement on the poster, but rather the posts. One foolish/ignorant post could get you -20 karma, if you get what I mean.

You can only influence someone's karma, either way, once an hour. If you try and give someone positive or negative karma twice, it gives you an error.

If you decide to give someone negative karma and then later (within an hour) give them positive Karma, it ignores your earlier mark.(And removes it from their score.) The positive karma you just gave them WILL increase their positive karma by 1, as well.
