Bowling Score keeper
« on: January 07, 2007, 11:00:24 AM »

(forgive me if you've seen this on one of those other places we both frequent)
I just finished my first flash project that wasn't part of a tutorial.  It's a bowling score keeper.  Play around with it and let me know what you think.

BBCK and I have wanted a score-keeper program for when we play rebound-bowling. So, that was the goal I set for myself. Here's what I came up with...

Some of the features of this program are
  • One touch score entry. When you press the number or 'x' or '/' the cursor automatically advances to the correct place. It detects the number of players based on the player-name field.
  • Strike - when you get a strike, a movie plays showing a strike
  • Turkey - when you get 3 strikes in a row, it shows a turkey
  • Reset button - The bowling pin on the right is the reset button to clear the scores
  • Player order on reset - The order of the bowlers is reversed when the reset button is pressed

The program's logic looks pretty sturdy to me, I didn't find any bugs or errors when fooling around with it. Good job, that's pretty sweet.
