The US legislation did cause some companies to withdraw from the US market, but there are many poker rooms that still accept US players. Essentially, the legislation prevents banques from cashing cheques issued by online poker companies. Since most individuals collect their earnings trough other means, like net teller for instance, it's not really an issue. At least not yet. I'm not a legal expert, but I figure the courts will need to make some rulings on cases and in doing so, this will establish legal precedence. Interprettation of the legislation will therefore play a significant role in determining the actual impacts of it, and until we start seeing actual court cases, I personally don't concern myself with it. There are still tons of places where you can play. See my PM.

Yet another example of the government sticking it's grubby mitts in anyplace money may be hiding. I don't know why they don't just legalize prostitution and make the industry another bitch like it did when Prohibition ended.

Because the government can be very stupid at times?

Im sorry to go off topic but I believe that prostituition, while controlled, can be a good thing for the economy. Look at the Netherlands for example, its legal their but there are precautions in place which prevents the spread of STDs like condoms being mandatory in prostituted sex

Prostitution should DEFINITELY be illegal.  It, like gambling, alcohol, and other unsightly elements such as premarital sex and homosexuality are leading to the decline of our society.

If I was in charge, I wouldn't care about prostitution and gambling. You'd call me "El Presidente" and my top priority would be to invest billions of your dollars so that I can eventually gain the ability to cock punch you trough TCP/IP.

Back on topic...

I just learned that NETeller has withrawn from the US market yesterday. NETeller is essentially the paypall of poker so that's not good news.  :x There are still plenty of other alternatives out there, but this move by NETeller may be a sign of things to come. I hope not.

Whoever you use, don't go with "Use My Bank", the server is almost never working and the c/s department is hardly ever open (at which point it is transferred to a certain group of people who know nothing at all about the system and basically make up random techy sounding reasons to get the crazy gambling-addicted callers to shut up and go away).
