Same for me. I didn't read it and neither did my friend. We looked at the headline and went "ohhh...." That's sad. I feel sorry for them. I love pets.

So, I read the article.  Something that I think is amazing is that four firefighters were hurt trying to save the animals, rather than saying "Eh, they're just animals" and leaving them there to die.  It's nice to be reminded every now and then that people don't TOTALLY suck all of the time.

Yeh; I don't think the personality drawn to firefighting ever entertains such a notion as "they're just animals". Firefighters are great.

That's too tragic. My wife was devastated when I showed/told Her. She's an animal planet junkie, a big lover of critters.
