It certainly wasn't as advertised. It was about 10 times better than the ad gives the impression. I was (am still) totally floored that they only wanted $4900. This bike has been customed out to the T. Custom-built handlebar riser (to put the grips in easy reach without having to lean forward, and without having to have ape-hangers. The handlebar itself is off a Harley Fatboy, and the grips are custom made with hand rests. The windshield is ... aftermarket; I don't think its "custom", the pipes are custom- the WHOLE exhaust; not just slip-on chrome tips; custom footrests, custom leather seat, custom leather saddlebags, leather toolkit, and a custom-made leather wallet carrier that fits on the top of the tank, and a ton of aftermarket chrome. He's probably got about $3k or 4K put into it.
There is ONE scratch on the entire bike; a small ding about the size of a pea on the bottom, back side of the front fender.
I priced the same bike around the net, and the bluebook value for this bike basic; stripped down is over 6K. They're selling for around 7K - 15k - used; depending on the level of customization.
I wondered why he was selling it so cheap... what could be wrong with it?
As it turns out - nothing. His wife HATES him riding it, and they decided to sell off his bike and their golf cart and get a Kawasaki Mule. They have a bit of land on Lake Lanier, and want the mule to go back and forth from the house to the water, etc.
Anyway; the pics there in the ad and that I posted don't do it the proper justice. The bike is MUCH nicer than the photos suggest. I'll have some better pics soon and post em.

I'm not taking into account that she might have some medical reason for not being able to walk, or the fact that by "bit of land on Lake Lanier", you mean the Lake is more than a 1/2 mile away from the house. I realize that. It still made me laugh.

On a sidenote - the area these cats live is like "HOLY SHIT!!" big houses with each their own boathouse and dock, etc. Really nice place.

I dunno. They seemed loaded; asset-wise.
I don't know for sure, but I kinda got the impression they do a LOT outside; and a lot of that "down at the water". (I guess that's code for the boathouse). And it is kind of a long way from their house to the water. Way too far to be carrying shit on foot if you spend a lot of time down there. The golf cart they had was one of those modified jobs; the big, off-road wheels, cargo racks, etc. I guess the Mule would fill that job plus some; what with all the attachments and stuff for it.
I just still dont get why only 4900 bucks, for real... They (the couple that ~~owns~~OWNED

the bike) had their neighbor post it online. They apparently "dont compute". (they're a little bit older cats) He told them he could sell it on ebay or craigslist for at least twice that price (which is the honest truth) and they just weren't interested.

which brings me to the next best thing about it; since I only got it for about half-price; if I decide I just aint a happy bike rider, I can sell it and make a few dollars. Win-win.
