Upgrade HELP **

I have an older system and here is the info below, I want ot upgrade my processor , what can you suggest? Funds are limited

That's not a very, uh, 'top of the line' system board. In fact, the motherboard manual probably tells you what the highest supported CPU is. I checked out ASUS's site and they don't even have that model number listed anywhere obvious. If you're on a limited budget, just hang on to what you've got and save up for a system rebuild. Chances are that Board won't support a CPU too much faster than what you've already got in there and anything that hits up the 3+ Ghz range will probably require a total system rebuild in order for it to work.

  Am I to understand that this post was moved from the "flame-free" Newbie Forum to this . . . no-holds-barred veteran's Technology Forum where one must have 50 posts to answer your inquiry?
