The Something Awful forums are a little too large to make it worth reading. If you go on vacation, you're pretty much fucked. Unless of course you don't mind reading through about 100,000 new posts, per forum.

Not really - between the offsite RSS feeds and SALR*, it's pretty simple to keep up with the decent stuff.

*SomethingAwful Last Read - an extension for Firefox (and Safari and Shiira) that makes it much easier to track what you've been reading
