Good day, sir.... I said good day!
« on: July 24, 2010, 11:23:04 PM »

I've never been real big in forums but I needed something to kill time and this place seems just random enough and intelligent enough to keep my attention. I dig general tech, video games, Stephen King books, sex, and real beer. Also chicken. The food though; I hate the animal.

That is all for now. Good night and have a pleasent tomorrow.

If you could somehow manage to multi-task and do/incorporate all of your interests into one activity, I would be highly impressed.

Of course. My hatred towards animals is never unfounded. Towards people is another story....

Alright, rizzy, you've challenged me. I'll report back in five, I mean 40 minutes.

And if you count a baby as a person, Ivan, than yes. If you don't, well still yes. I had to hold her down... think of that what you will....

Also, I expect a detailed report >_>

Chickens are not funny. They are loud, mean and smelly. I prefer them covered in batter and fried.

And I need help on how to incorporate general tech into the mix. I can read The Gunslinger, play GBA on my phone, eat a chicken leg, and get one of those hats to drink beer out of... oh wait! The GBA on my phone includes general tech! Success! Alright. I got it all planned. Now for the execution...

Oh, you must've raised those loud, mean and smelly chicken varieties. I raised the kind that lay blue eggs. They were funny, affectionate, warm and soft. And had amazingly pretty plumage.

Until the bobcat et em.

I hate chickens.  I consider it my duty to eat as many of them as possible, so as to rid the world of the chicken menace.

I'm guessing "Bud Light" doesn't qualify as "real beer".

I like vodka.

It doesn't (Also, Bud Light Lime is the worst thing ever created). Have some real Canadian beer :D.

Moosehead is a decent lager.

Bitburg Pils
Stefens Pils  "Ein Steffi, bitte."
Stefens kolsch
Jever Pils

I can't remember any more offhand; but just about any German beer rules, especially the smaller, local brands. Anything but "wheat beer". Ugh.

I agree, I have to say german beer is the best.

I disagree. American Microbrews are the best. Anything from Stone, Rogue, Lazy Boy and so many more.
IPA's
Double IPA's
Imperial Russian Stouts
Porters
Mmmm

Oh, and the one that trumps them all is any that I make myself :D Homebrew FTW!

Is it horribly sad that the first thing that comes to mind whenever I see IPA is international phonetic alphabet?

Oh, and the one that trumps them all is any that I make myself :D Homebrew FTW!

I homebrewed years ago. Bought bottles at first, then realized it was cheaper to buy cheap beer (when I could find any in non-screwtop bottles) and empty them down the drain (added bonus -- pre-sanitized!). After I gave some friends and neighbors the fruits of my labor, word got out and people donated empties from miles around. The whole barn was full of molding mismatched bottles. After one dreary weekend of sanitizing and delabeling hundreds of stupid bottles, I chucked them all and used empty mineral water bottles instead (pre-sanitized!), simply re-using the screw caps. That worked great! Then I stopped drinking so much beer and started drinking more wine, so I switched to wine-making. Same goddam thing happened with the bottles. Then I got too busy for that kind of hobby.

3 things:

1. If I start brewing again, I will not bottle: I will brew a keg and use a pitcher.
2. If I start making wine again, I will not bottle: I will make it in a barrel and use a pitcher.
3. What I really want to do is make brandy. Preferably, potable brandy.

IPA = India Pale Ale. No Bud Light is not real beer. The only domestics I drink are Coors (cheap not too terrible every day beer), Sam Adams cherry wheat, summer ale, winter lager, and Boston lager, in that order. There is a Brewery restaurant in town that makes a really good red so I have to agree that American microbrews are the bestest. I really enjoy Harp and Guinness. Dos Equis (sp?) is a pretty good Mexican beer.  I really will drink just about any beer but I certainly am a picky SOB when it comes to actually enjoying beer.

Oh and I have a love hate relationship with vodka... I hate it but I love the things it makes my wife do...
I don't drink much in the way of spirits but Crown is a good party starter.

Plants as in the cell wall and chlorophyll based organisms or plants where one would manufacture something?
