I'd like to have a few samples for a project I'm doing. Short scenes are fine. I realize that BA scenes would have to be long though, heh heh...

Anarchy / What's the best way to get from Rhode Island to Cortland, NY« on: August 12, 2008, 08:26:24 PM »
I've been experimenting in google maps and have no idea of the region. But google tells me to go north through Massachusetts, then west to Cortland. The estimated drive time is between 6-7 hours. I also mapped out a route which takes us west through Conneticutt and then north to Cortland.
Which would those of you in the know recommend? Are there any good places to stop along either route (for dining, Ian running around, must see tourist traps, etc.)? Any help would be appreciated. The drive will occur probably late morning a week from Thursday. 34

After 20+ years I am finally free of the food service industry. You've all heard me bitch about my current job of the past eight years. Well it finally happened. I've landed a position with a leading high tech company (in the EDA industry). Big bump in salary, opportunity for advancement, great corporate culture, bonus, stock, great benefits. Plus it's closer to home!
I gave notice today and start on the 26th. :happydance: :nanaparty: :detta: 41

Saturday we went to see A Mid-Summer Night's Dream put on by San Francisco Shakespeare Festival. It was a free performance in a park in Cupertino. Fantastic adaptation. It was like Russian Revolution, meets late 80s rap, meets 77 London punk scene, with some classic jazz standards thrown in for good measure.

Hey all, my mom was doing this with my little bro's family back when they had a camera and running XP. Now they have an iMac with built in camera. Does anyone know how to set this up to work with Yahoo messenger? No I haven't googled it yet, just wondering if any of you have had experience with this and know the best way.

I went to see my friend's friend's band Dolorata at The Bottom Of The Hill in The City. I was pleasantly surprised. I really like Dolorata and they sound better every time I hear them. Great rhythm section and the violinist is amazing. But I was really pleased with the other three bands. Dynamite 8 opened and totally kicked ass. Joanne is a great singer (she also is Clam Dip, the drummer for the Womentors). Great stage presence and personality. The Charm School Dropouts went on next. The singer threw sex toys out into the audience. I bought their CD for $7. Great set.
Third was Dolorata and they rocked as usual. The headliners were Wire Graffiti. Good show, expecially their finale. The guitarist was over the top on that one. Nice wall of sound. I bought their new CD as it was their CD release show and they threw in their previous one for free. $10. I really wish I could get out more, and at $10 for shows like these it's definitely affordable. So I'm out $27, had a great time, and have 3 CDs. Kids be sure to support your local bands, the over-produced commercial stuff is crap. Crap I say! 49

Weird Tingly Feeling? I have a .docx file and it can only be opened using Word 2007. Why the fuck would MS make a new file that's incompatible with their older versions? That's rhetorical btw. Anyway, would someone with Word 2007 volunteer to receive an email with the file and convert it to an older .doc for me? Actually it's for my mother in law.
