Today I bought myself a new mouse. Since I work with it all day I want something good. I bought a Logitech MX610:

I always liked the logitech mice because of their shape, it fits my hand perfectly. This one works very smooth and the little receiver is very handy. Also handy is that it shuts down when the computer is shut down so that will save me batteries. Do you people have a favourite mouse or do you don't care ?

I just finished Stephen King's latest novel "Cell"  It was a pretty good book that clearly shows what gets into mankind once anarchy is there.

Amazon quote:

Witness Stephen King's triumphant, blood-spattered return to the genre that made him famous. Cell, the king of horror's homage to zombie films (the book is dedicated in part to George A. Romero) is his goriest, most horrific novel in years, not to mention the most intensely paced. Casting aside his love of elaborate character and town histories and penchant for delayed gratification, King yanks readers off their feet within the first few pages; dragging them into the fray and offering no chance catch their breath until the very last page.

In Cell King taps into readers fears of technological warfare and terrorism. Mobile phones deliver the apocalypse to millions of unsuspecting humans by wiping their brains of any humanity, leaving only aggressive and destructive impulses behind. Those without cell phones, like illustrator Clayton Riddell and his small band of "normies," must fight for survival, and their journey to find Clayton's estranged wife and young son rockets the book toward resolution.

I liked it a lot. It's not his best work but it is an old-fashioned Stephen King story.

Now I got to find something new to read, Anyone have a good suggestion  ?

So here is a question about Antivirus software. In my last job i worked with full satisfaction using Norton AV corporate. I liked the way you can integrate it into an MMC and it was very easy to install. Also updating was always working and it kept the company safe for the 4 years I worked there. Now in my new job they have McAfee EPO as Av. I don't know exactly how it works yet but so far I see only downsides. New clients do not get an automatic installation. Updating fails quite a lot and I think it is a bit spartan to configure. What are your opinions about this ? Or what do you use as AV period an why ?

I am currently looking for a new mobile phone, I was thinking about a Sony w800 (http://www.sonyericsson.com/walkmanphone/mainpage.aspx)

I want a decent mp3 possibility on board and a somewhat decent camera function to make a quick shot if the situation occurs. Does anyone have any experience with this phone or maybe have a phone like this which satisfies them ?

Hello All.

On the internet  I go by the jeee simply because it is the first letter of my real name . When I used it the first time j,je and jee were taken so that's why it is as it is today.

I already encountered some of you and for the others I will try to write down a proper introduction post.

I am 33 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I am married and I have two kids.

After high school  and army time I worked in a hardware store for a while and that's were I developed a love for fixing things which still exists today. I started studying again after that  and today I work as a network engineer.

I play soccer twice a week and also like to play squash. I love music  which varies from classic guitar to hip hop.  My  all time favourite song is Deep Purple's Fireball. I am a sock-sock-shoe-shoe person with the exception when I dress up for playing soccer. Then I  switch to sock-shoe-sock-shoe because the floor overthere is kinda wet..

In food I'll almost  eat anything besides sprouts. In drinks I take some occasional coffee and some water.  I like beer and wine and sometimes a good glass of whiskey. The last book I read was the last part of Stephen King's The Dark Tower. I like Sf series like star trek and stargate and comedy like Friends allthough I hate Seinfeld.

In women I'll say I am attracted to the Elisabeth Hurley types. My all time hero is Stevie Ray Vaughan because I wish I could play like him.

Geekwise I applied because I have 3 pc's with all the sidestuff you can imagine. I have a very fast and therefor expensive DSL connection. Against me is that I hate PDA's and that I think that Microsoft is kinda ok if you know how it works.

That's it.
