TIL that you're supposed to cut off the bottom few branches of the tree before putting it in the base. It was fine for the first ten hours or so and then once it settled all hell broke loose. 

Got water and pine needles everywhere in the house and carpet now smells like piss. Instructions were unclear.

TIL: The metropark police aren't messing around when it comes to curfew and the new (but not yet open) mountain bike trail.  They let me off with a warning.

TIL that no matter how much time goes by, people will never understand that the on ramp of a highway is designed for you to accelerate to the speed of the rest of the traffic currently on the highway before you're in said traffic.

TIL that no matter how much time goes by, people will never understand that the on ramp of a highway is designed for you to accelerate to the speed of the rest of the traffic currently on the highway before you're in said traffic.

I am an utter jackass to people in front of me that do that.  In other words, if I'm behind someone in the on-ramp, I'm an utter jackass about 75% of the time.
