Hardware, Software, and Other Imperialist Crap / Many many hard drives..
« on: February 25, 2004, 07:44:30 PM »
Alright, i've got a server tower case with say, um.. I think 6 hard drives in it, all powered. Well, now I need to put in another 3 hard drives, but I have no more power connectors (and I don't want to split anymore). Do I need to buy a whole other power supply to replace the current one, or can I have two in a case? What would you recommned if I am going to have 9+ hd's in one computer?

w00t! I'm a scr1pt k1dd1e!

Hardware, Software, and Other Imperialist Crap / PostNuke
« on: February 21, 2004, 06:42:45 AM »
Just on the whim on of you know....

Alright, I installed PostNuke on my sight, and (FINALLY) got it where I want it, I think. I hope.

Just one little problem. All these *nuke cms' are really freakin awesome for displaying dynamic content, but eh, how about static content? All I want to do is add a link to the left hand menu that loads a page. The SAME page every time. No dynamic news, nothing about who's logged in. Kind of like the FAQ. But eh, how do I do that? I know how to add links to menu, but how do I set up another page like the rest (so it uses the PostNuke theme etc). Do I have to write a complete fucking module or what? Any clues?

Anarchy / Thanks for the obvious!
« on: February 07, 2004, 04:05:35 AM »
I don't understand why people have to state the obvious. It really has started to tick me off.

Earlier today I was going in for a job interview. I checked in with a secretary, where she promptly replied with, "You're early."

Maybe it was just that moment, but I wanted to reply, "Oh, so what, you want me to leave and come back late?" I don't understand why people have to do that. I'm obviously early, and it's not like I'd think my interview was @ 39 past the hour. Everywhere I go people state the obvious, like it'll change something, or that we don't see it. That car was fast? Really? You don't say?
