This gave me a sad.
Not the angel-tossing picture -- the whole post.

I was digging through some old text files I have in my Dropbox account, and I came across one entitled "The Book of Hackernetworkius.txt". I figured this was an appropriate thread in which to post it.
And as a good lead in, here's a Pepe angel tossing.
This gave me a sad.

Information is meaningless absent an observer. An observer is meaningless without the observable.
The meaning of the Universe is data.
Sometimes this dream makes me wake up drenched in sweat.

My boss alludes to being the reincarnation of G.I. Gurdjieff. His own teacher. He is his own teacher...
Must be some kind of whacky place you work in, if your boss is a Gurdjieff disciple.

This is the original video, and probably the funniest one. Some of the newer ones get sort of tedious.
Forwarded to my metal-head foodist son.

Veering dangerously back on-topic:
Nested Quotes

« on: June 20, 2014, 01:19:54 PM »
So is there a way to get nested quotes without hand-crafting them?

hate active directory
Why?
stupid
Well, actually because Active Directory is a typically (for MS) overwrought, overthought and overdesigned behemoth of a system requiring specialized knowledge and experience to manage, is entirely unintuitive, must be managed via a UI, and is maybe marginally useful and effective on an enterprise level but becomes more and more of a useless PITA as you scale downward. But yes, "stupid" covers it.

The Nevernudes
The Analrapists (pronounced uh-NALL-ruh-pists, of course) I only just discovered AD in the last couple years. I bet if I read through all the old threads I'll find a gazillion references that went right over my head.

Boring lives are underrated.
May you live in interesting times is not a well-wish.
"Well-wish" is in the dictionary. That was very un-boring to learn.

HIARYLAH!
So that's it? Just "here"?
The least someone could do is ask, "What's going on in your life, ivan?"

Ok, I found the SMFSSSwhateverBlack theme. It looks just like old times, except it breaks the damn HTML in both Firefox and Chrome. I can read posts, but there is no REPLY button.
