There's a thing I enjoy called "having a place to live for the summer," which my mother assured me I would not have if I skipped graduation.

Feh! You're ejimacated now, you can get a job and pay for your own place.

"I don't like it here anymore. Take immigration, for example. They keep letting people in. And then we have to build more houses, which makes the Netherlands even heavier. The country will sink even lower, which will make the flooding worse."

Statements like this makes me believe that there is a bright side to the Apocalypse. BTW, I am planning an end of the world party - your all invited.

Sweet! I'll bring the chips.

I think it helps to watch some of the older episodes before season 3. Family Guy episodes usually don't have a story line that goes from one episode to another. Venture bros. has a single story line, so it helps to see previous episodes.

That would probably explain why I was so completely lost.

The Egyptians were always so cool to me when I played Civilization.

Egyptians 8-)

That said, FUCK YOU MAYANS WHY DIDN'T YOU PLAN FURTHER AHEAD

It's funny because the Mayan calendar doesn't actually end in 2012, it's just the end of the current period, then they need to recalculate for the next period. Course I think it's pretty cocky of them to plan that far ahead and then not stick around to follow through.

Again with the Mayans. Ain't it always the Mayans?  :x

Sometimes it's the Egyptians.

I was talking about the feelings which trigger wanting a cigarette i.e feelings of stress or sudden anger.

I can proudly say I have had one successful cold-turkey day, carrying 1 cigarette around with me.  8-)

Awesome. Keep it up.

Stupidity cannot be cured with money, or through education, or by legislation. Stupidity is not a sin, the victim can't help being stupid. But stupidity is the only universal capital crime: the sentence is death, there is no appeal, and execution is carried out automatically and without pity.

I thought I was being clever by electing to have liability only insurance. Went great for about a year, then I bumped into somebody. All that money I 'saved' just got spent fixing my truck.  :| So, don't ever choose liability only. Ever. Pay the extra and do full coverage and save yourself a lot of grief later on.

Uh, that's why they call it insurance. It's there in case you happen to need it. :-P

And we're back!

Cable guy was here and installed a booster on the line. Hopefully that'll fix the issues for now.

Apparently there's a short on my cable line, 133 feet from the jack.

Actually, I have. My comp gets opened up twice a month for dusting, upgrading, etc. When I still had a PS2, I tore it apart to clean it, and I didn't notice anything other than the usual dust. I've upgraded the HD in my PS3, and wanted to upgrade the memory as well, but didn't do so. Of course, I haven't had the PS3 long enough, I don't think.

Lucky you. Of course you also seem to be looking after the equipment much more than your average smoking household.

Sweet! I've only made one so far and no pics of it yet. I'm planning on getting the full version as soon as I can find it.

I'll post pics later.

I'm sure he has no problems honoring customs and traditions as long as they aren't American. See, that's how you know how openminded and tolerant he is.

That's not even him! That's R. Kelly!

Oh, I got that, lol. I basically grew old hanging with the biker crowd; the Harley/Indian cruiser culture. I know five people (two of which were a couple) who've died in motorcycle accidents; and a few more injured and one crippled from the waist down. He spends his life in a wheelchair in bars now; staying either roasted on his meds or toasty drunk or both. He's a great guy, but he kept running over my footpedal onstage when we were playing there and unplugging my guitar. By accident, of course; and we never said anything about it because he was just headbanging and rocking out; causing the chair to roll this way and that, lol.
Anyway; I lolled at your joke, but I thought it might make a good thread; since not everyone will just post (or think) "me too."

Ouch... :-( That sucketh.

I'm a donor as well. As I see it, if I'm done using it, someone else might as well. I'm also planning on being cremated, or possibly mulched.

The reason I made the donor wise crack in the thread about your new bike is that statistically you're more likely to be seriously injured/killed on a bike. A friend of mine who was an EMT in NYC calls them donorcycles. :-)

All this may become a moot point if Ray Kurzweil's singularity theories come to pass. On top of all that various trends in bio/chem/genetic research are pointing toward a future of replacement parts or even whole bodies. It's more than likely that within the next 5-20 years huge advances in medical science are going to occur that will blow our minds.
