Need new DVD player

My panasonshit one just crapped out on me. Actually, it plays music CDs fine. It's just DVDs that don't work too well. Since it was a 5 disc player, I'll keep it for music and buy a new single disc player. What's good, reliable, and not too expensive? RCA? I was thinking maybe this one. (But not from that store)

We have the slightly older model of this one. I like all of Philips' products.

You may just need to clean it out with some compressed air.

No I think it's the software because it plays music well (which uses a different software than the DVDs). I think I'm just going to buy the cheapest one I can find. So far it's a Citizen for $50 canadian.

$35 USD?  No way?  If they're that cheap now, why don't I have one for each TV?

We have an RCA 5-disc that's worked pretty well for us.

Well I ended up buy the $50 dollar one. I had a few choices of brands but the only one I recognised was citizen. Sure, they don't make the best stuff, But they've been around for a loooong time. Besides, it would cost more me $50 just to get a diagnostic on my broken panasonic.
