That's a disappointing story v.v

Sorry :( ... My "writer" Mimi is out ... she's the one that embellishes all the stories into interesting (albeit far fetched) ones.

Who knew the Enterprise would be right there ... priceless!

Then what? Did she spank you? Please?
No ... she was built like a guy ... a spanxing would have HURT.  She would just give me that look that only women can truly master ... usually only after having children (although some are naturals) ... that says "I know you're not working up to your potential.  You're not giving it your all.  You're only cheating yourself."  Then I'd feel guilty.

Angry Chair ... although the Malice in Manacles (MIM) is quite clever.  Sludge Factory just sounds ... dirty in a not nice way.

I wonder how much work some of these got.
That list is hilarious ... A Cat Born in the Oven isn't a Cake  ... although it threw me that Barenaked Ladies were on it.  Guess they've been around for so long that I'm immune to the "weirdness" of their name.

But if you go to a women's gym in an upscale neighbourhood they have super hot male trainers for all the little desperate housewives.

Personally I preferred to work out with the lesbian semi-pro soccer player.  Less distraction and no temptation to play weak little girl and end up having a crappy workout.  She knew when I wasn't working hard enough.

Both were absolutely priceless ... I love it when someone can get telemarketers to practically wet their pants with fear.

I evidently suck at geography, just where the hell is Mexico Canada ? Is it just south of America Canada ?

I think so ... say about 40 kms south east really.  They have this great burrito place called Burrito Boyz ... awesome halibut burritos ... best after bar food evah!

Ahhhh ... so that might explain why we always have a drink when we get home from the bar ... lol.

Second best cure for a hangover (after abstinance of course *nods to Ivan*) is to play a game of ice hockey, preferably with only one or two spares and the other team having a full bench.  Close third is doing a 5 km charity run.

It looks like a very cool player.  I'm a total lemming when it comes to trends like iPods but I agree the interface is confusing.  I love the physical asthetic of my nano but I'm not a fan of the interface at all.

I liked them both.  The technicalities of music escape me but I liked the sound of Catking and TV was neat ... the reverb did make it sound live.  It reminded me of different early demos of famous bands that they play on shows like The Ongoing History of New Music.

I echo the "more please".

Well, you read my story.  Overtly aggressive doesn't work.  He stands there and argues about it because...he's the smartest person in the FREAKING room!!!

I feel your pain V ... that was my ex husband's fave line "... but I was the smartest guy in the room" <gag/>.  Sometimes you can almost block out what the dumbasses are saying but its that condescending "I've got a superior intellect" tone that's like nails on a chalkboard making a person want to ram the speaker's tongue down their throat and pull it out via their left nostril.

Hmm ... I think I have a little pent up rage.  If you want help dealing with the neighbour dude I'll gladly assist .

Cool!  We saw some guys doing it in Mexico.  They looked pretty good and the waves were pretty crazy.  It looked SO hard.

I don't know ... I manage to get so much water up my nose whenever I try to do that little underwater flippy thing to change direction that I almost drown.  I'd count not drowning as a reasonable accomplishment.

Thankfully that last game hasn't put me off hockey ... its mobilized me to try to improve to I can out skate the chippy chicks.  Monday nights thru the summer I'm going to do a skills clinic.  Next season comes the competition might get a surprise.

pb, you've been swimming competitively for a while now ... that's really cool.  Other than some seniors team there isn't anything like that around here.

There's no way I'm posting everything on my bookshelf. I don't have that kind of time.

I don't have any bookshelves ... lost those in the divorce ... lol.

Next I'm contemplating swapping this mobo for one with a fatter ass.

Just make sure it still fits on your desk ...

When speaking of the server, I call it sequel server.
When speaking of the query language, I say ess-cue-el.

....so both, I guess.

Me too.

"erlz" ... that's just dumb granted it could be very clever and I'm not gettin' it cuz I'm having "a moment".

"ups" versus U - P - S ... that was my goofy pet name for my UPS ... otherwise the people I worked with thought I was talking about the courier company.

I feel your pain BW.  A few years ago, I was playing in my softball league (co-ed rec league).  This asshole who outweighs me by at least 70 pounds decides he's gonna teach the cute little girl a lesson, and plows in to me full force (at full speed) at first base.  We both go flying, I end up with a cracked cheekbone and some nasty cuts and bruises.  The umpire does absolutely nothing about this, despite the fact that we have "collision rules" in this league.  Bear in mind, this was not an accidental collision; it was purposeful.  I swear, if the ump had gotten within arm's reach of me, I would have puched him in the face.  The only saving grace was that I pulled my ass up off the ground and played the rest of the game while the giant pussy sat out the rest of the game with a sprained ankle.

OMG ... that's brutal.  Luckily we had no lasting injuries to our physical selves ... the one girl had a sore wrist but no broken bones.  We were just pissed off ... partly because we thought we knew the team and were looking forward to a fun game.  How is your cheek bone?  My mom broke her's skiing ... the bruising wasn't pretty.

There's a big difference between ultra-competitive and playing dirty.  These both sound like the latter.
Thing is, we're in division 5 of a 5 division league ... we're the bottom where everyone comes to learn (I plan on staying) so really the only heavy competition is within ourselves to improve from one game to the next.  They shouldn't even keep stats for our division ... people only care about their first goal.  The top division is scary competitive ... former olympic players (really old ones ... lol) and young women that have played all their lives.  I can see some of that behaviour happening at that level but certainly not at ours.

But I'm a glutton for punishment ... think I'm going to sign up for a skills clinic Monday nights thru the summer ... or play on Wednesday nights ... or maybe both ... lol.
