I didn't make the cut. *shrugs* I just don't want to go on a posting spree. Educated posts is what I aim for. Not just gibberish to keep my daily post count up. Like this post for example. I post to state an opinion on a comment two people made. Now, I will continue surfing the forum for another spot will I can hop in and make an educated post again.

Now that, BizB, is kissing ass. :-D

No sitting there and whistling all day? Darn... my life's goal is ruined. You know what, I need a new passion then just being an ass.

I KNOW! I'll be a penis! Do they have plastic penises though? I'm not sure if it's a joke or an actual medical procedure...

4
Plastic rectum? Sounds like a good job... what's the requirements to hold such a position? :-D

*shrugs* Artistic idiocy at its best. I can change it, since its only a matter of a few minutes out of my way. If your talking about the font in the top right hand corner though, that was done on purpose. Its a font taken from The Elder Scrolls video game series, and is an in game text. Pretty much transferring an 'A' to say, some cool looking symbol. I'll go back and make another one, more basic and prettier.

I don't think I'll be calling any one, but yes, it sounds efficient in keeping myself from being a fool. I prefer to read it aloud though, grammatical errors are easier for me to understand when spoken. Barbaric, yes, I know.  8-)

*shrugs* I'll take that as a, "Lets not delete." Might teach a lesson to my fellow newbs, and maybe, just maybe, magically fix the search button. I'm headed over to the sticky though. I mean, 63 pages of books...  :-D

*puts his head down in shame* Didn't think to check outside the Entertainment thread... ahh I'm not on a good roll here.

Well, would the powers that be wish for this to stay up as homage to idiocy? Maybe want me to delete it, or even delete it themselves?

Crap... I knew I was going to show up here sooner or later. Well, I guess its time I find a better Spell Check. Maybe get a plug-in thats a bit better then the stock stuff that Mozilla comes with. *shrugs* Or reread them like 3 times over... yeah, that could help.

*holds up his hands* I looked, I swear. The only one I saw was on philosophical books, and it was beyond necromancy by the looks of it. If I'm proven wrong though, I'll delete the thread without question.

I personally think books are underrated as a form of story telling in this day and age. I also would like to know where to dump a couple hundred dollars besides electronics.

So, on that note, what are some good books that are just good books? They don't need to be philosophical, relevant, or even coherent.

These are amongst my favorites, off the top of my head that is.

Party Monster - James St. James (This book was originally released as 'Disco Bloodbath' but was discontinued)
I Am Drakulya - C. Dean Andersson
The Chronicles of Narnia - C.S. Lewis
Lord of the Rings - If you don't know his name, you should not be reading books  :x
His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman
The Elder Scrolls - from the game series... lots of interesting 'books' and lore in those games
The Bear and the Dragon - Tom Clancy
1984 - George Orwell
The Wizard Knight - Gene Wolfe
The Sword of Truth series - Terry Goodkind (I'm only on the 6th book... so don't give me spoilers)
And anything by the coolest 'atheist' ever, George Carlin. I'm not sure to call him atheist though... I think he still worships the sun and Joe Pesci.

P.S. I do know that another topic does discuss books, but after reading it, I figured that it was more about philosophical books in particular. So I started this one on books that are just a good read in general. :-)

I suggest going foreign for your new car. Some how, with their degraded metal and tiny islands, they are making better cars in larger quantities. *shrugs* Be willing to sacrifice power though. A V6 isn't powerful, but the design of their engines and drive train are getting better and better with each model.

I don't think there even is a loop, just a continual line of confusion. *shrugs* I have no idea why this fellow likes me. I'm about as anti-rap and 'gangsta' as you can get with out being a down right racist. I'm completely against the hip-hop culture, and yet I'm getting props and offers for my own personal 'rhymes'. How peculiar...

 :-o

I'm not sure why he's smiling at me like that, but its scaring me. I'm not sure if he wants to hug me, mate with me, or kill me. Either way, I don't think I'll come out of it with a smile. Unless he killed me that is, because then I'll know I got the sweet end of the deal.

So yeah, be nice to Arnold the Ape. He might just suffice to smile at you in that odd sort of way and leave you be.

I know where I remember this argument... the documentary on Star Wars. They explained, in basic terms, why they wanted the sound in the movie. It adds to umm... I can't remember the word. It adds to the believability of something unbelievable. Normal people have a preset belief, that when a gun fires, you hear a sound. If you take this out of a movie, even if its true that there should be no sound, this will confuse the general populace because they are, in short, stupid. Now, I think that in light of this, movie producers are willing to 'listen' to a tech supervisor, but still put his belief of what should be right into play during production.

If you watch Supernatural, a perfect example of this is the episode "Hollywood Babylon" in Season Two. That is, if your willing to sit around and watch a hour show to see just a few minutes at the end. You could always look it up on YouTube... only God knows whats been uploaded on that website.

Hello Mankoi, and umm... yeah, welcome. I'm Merc, the other newbie to this great hall of wisdom, sarcasm, and pent up rage at malfunctioning servers. If I may make a point of something before some one FAR more senior then me says it... do check out the rules, and explore a bit before you immerse yourself. It helped me in not making a huge fool of myself. Also, the ape fellow who crushes people doesn't look friendly. I forget his name though, didn't bother to ask him you see.

Nope, its not lice. Its dandruff. No worries my fellow friends, dandruff is ONLY transferable from Bill Gates himself. I am but a peon in his Holy Crusade to rule our world, and therefore I am not worthy to spread the almighty dandruff. I think.... maybe I do have lice. *scratches his head again* Ahh shit...

*tries to read, but the blood is already pouring out* kitten... you should of PMed us with this PSA before I read all of that. *bows his head* I feel like I was hit by a train, picked up by a hungry hick mistaking me for road kill, and roasted one piece at a time on his muffler.

Tick, Tack, Toe
Three in a row
Barney got shot by G.I. Joe
Mama called the doctor
and the doctor said

Whoop Barney's dead!
Whoop Barney's dead!
*do a little dance randomly flailing arms*

On top of ol' Smokey
All covered in blood
I shot my poor teacher
With a .44 slug

I went to her funeral
I went to her grave
Everyone threw flowers
I threw a grenade

The cops tried to catch me
But I was too fast
So I lit off
The gas...

*scratches his head* I'd have to say Tucker Max. I live in the LA area, and work at a job where you have to deal with a LOT of customers. Chances are, sooner or later I'll see the guy. Dark Shade... well I make it a rule of thumb to never meet someone I know online unless I know them very well and have a friend with me. I also hardly know any of you yet to be honest... give me a month. I know, Mr. Max is online, but Ron Jeremy is in movies, and I still got to meet him. Well... my step-dad did, I was too young and naive to understand WHY Mr. Jeremy was such a big deal.

Yes... I'm afflicted with the rare case of Purple Penguin Syndrome. I also happen to have the Green Fairy Syndrome, and Purple Dinosaur Syndrome. *shrugs* I hear the last two are abit more common though. *looks to Crystalmonkey* Against what? Me locking Purple Penguin up in a basement? He's the one who bit me...

24
Nah, I've come to realize its not the gods who are out to get me. Its the purple penguins in the basement of my non-existing house that is in the desert near Norway. *Googles for a desert near Norway*

Umm, I'm the fellow wearing the Top Gun shirt. *re-reads his own post* I think my post mentions something 'bout shaving facial hair. Also, xolik, I'm not real big on internet lingo and the sort. I mean, I get most of it, but I'll admit to being a not so bright 17 year old. I don't have years of experience under my belt yet. I do have the gut though... so I think that counts for something.
