Well hopefully by then I'll be able to take off the duct tape and get him to stand up without running away. Right now I still can't take him out of the pit without him screaming.

I hate that stage.

No matter.  Eventually you'll wear him down with the good behavior-->reward/bad behavior-->punishment routine, and he'll be a lot more docile after that.

Especially if you use the same electroshock implants you normally go with.
