You cant really compare star wars as one single entity. There are two different parts movies 4 5 & 6, and 1 2 & 3. I for one like the originals but hate the new ones. I like the beatles not because of the music (bleagh :-P) but they were very innovative and different for their time. According to the rolling stone "They invented the idea of the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments. They invented the idea that the world's biggest pop group could grow up into arty, innovative musicians. For that matter, they invented the idea that there was any such thing as the world's biggest pop group.
