I think Asimov had a short story where humor was a sort of intelligence test made up by aliens for the human race.

And speaking of religions, i think timecube is way better (at least funnier).
I for one practice a little cargo cult: i pretend to work and sometimes i get payed.

Oh, that sounds interesting. I'm gonna have to seek that out.
 There is a basic human design that drama appeals to emotion; humor appeals to intellect.

I remember a bit in Robot Dreams about teaching a computer what humour is. Time Cube is excellent, all other teachings are heretical ARE EVIL.
