I believe you, I was just curious about the switch of topics. Also, the only way this could be worse is if this was combined with the notoriously disturbing "2 girls 1 cup" meme, and their various forms.

I would like to start by saying, I didn't read the whole thread.

Now... onward to my opinions.

I like him, a lot, he's a nice boy. <----- This is not a phrase any want-to-be-suitor wants to hear come out of my mouth. It's a bad sign for you. It's a Wunder-version of "let's be friends".

I do a full genetic scan on a guy before I even consider him. I don't shack up with any guy. I agree with everything Joe has said.
That said I like older guys. I like older guys because the younger generation of guys aren't standing up to their older competition. If you think the latest Guitar Hero is more important that the grocery bill, you've just lost me. If you think school is hard while your parents are paying for it, you've lost me.
Taco is a nice boy. Arnox is annoying as hell. ivan is spoken for. Lucy hasn't been around. I'm keeping 12 on stand by, because we've already determined a long term relationship couldn't work, but I would still go there...

All you have to do is see the younger generation wearing capri pants for shorts (I call them "longs") or the boxers with the jeans hanging around their ankles (I call those "loadwear") and no scan is necessary.

There is no way I am reading all of that. I hate being on the other side of the planet. But from the first post, to boil down the whole of the human psychology pertaining to attraction to those few bullet points is a massive stretch... or squish. There is so much more complexity involved in what makes people attracted to eachother and often woman don't base there attraction on how nice men are to puppies.... we're not living in pleasantville.

Personally, I think the gamer thing is irrelevant, especially since most people of my generation are or have played some sort of video game and realise; like music or movies it offers a release and an abstraction from real life that can be both liberating and fun.

I do like hygienic men, I do like the smell of fresh sweat and I like my men to look scruffy when we go the movies and I'd like him to wear a suit when we  go to an office party. In that respect you are both right. There are a few commonailties in what women want in a man, but there is certainly no template.

I could rant on about what that template is for me, but frankly the only thing it will teach you is what i want in a man. Which is quite useless.

For the record, I didn't see what happened in the shoutbox, and I didn't feel the first post was particularly hostile. But I guess you had to be there.

Also, wunderkid makes good sense. However not "shacking up" with any guy poses an extremely difficult situation for me. I'm 24 years old, every other thought i have is about sex. How am I supposed to choose the right guy when my mind is clouded by the fact that I'm not allowed to get laid??!!??!!??

I am 24 years old, my dear.

I too, think a great deal about sex. I'm not talking about sex. I'm talking about mating. When I say "shack up" I mean, "Get knocked up by." I'm talking about a lifelong commitment, because having a child with someone means a lifelong commitment. That's what I was shooting at.

How young or old you are has no sway over your sex drive, by the way. Even as a woman.

I'm also bi, so that doubles my options and alters my taste in men a little.

yeah, you've told me before you were 24, I always forget. I think it's because of the way you articulate your opinions. So different from most of the 24 year olds i know.

I know their is no medical reason for the libido to deminish, but certainly some older woman notice a difference. I hope mine deminishes a little bit as time goes on; it would make my work life a lot easier. There is a time and a place for these things and at my office desk isn't one of them.

I am glad the 'shacking up' business is cleared up. It's agreed, we're all allowed to have sex. :)

So, I was involved in the shoutbox discussion, and I'd like to clarify my original smartass remarks.  In my mind, I was drawing a distinction between playing games that are targetted at 10 year olds, versus playing a game that targets an adult (or at least older) demographic.

Regardless of the target demographic, playing any kind of game to an extent that it retards your social graces or social development is a bad thing.

Well, after his idiotic remarks in this thread, I wash my hands of him. However, nonetheless, but, and again, however, I don't blame Pokemon for his low-brow sleaziness. I think that's upbringing.

Ok, ok. "Adult proudly playing Pokemon may be a symptom of deeper social maladjustment."

YOU WERE RIGHT, JOESIXPACK.

That was very hard to say.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day... but it never was about video games, more about being a grown man.

Yes, because I actually said it in Arabic.

Or something that sounded just like Arabic.
