My World Studies teacher was wrong, I see, now that Smarty Jones has come in second in the Belmont Stakes. Since the daughter of one of my school's teachers, a Ms Vannozzi, is the fiancee of the jockey, my whole school has Smarty Jones fever. The whole thing just sickens me.
What is there to be so excited about? A bunch of fucking horses run around a track and try to beat each other to the end. What's so special about that?
What do make of this whole Smarty Jones business?

Car racing
Horse racing
Dog racing
Around and around and around and around and around...

The only sport I really watch is fishing...yay for Bassmaster.

I come from a long line of rednecks, so watching fishing on weekend mornings is a ritual for my father and me...
Now bowling...I don't understand watching THAT on television.

Figure skating, too. Last time there was a hot figure skater on, I went to go hug the TV and it fell on me.

Hey, I like NASCAR. There's more to it than "around and around", there's pit stops, tire and fuel strategies, alliances with other drivers....and the wrecks! Gotta love the wrecks (as long as the driver gets out of the car ok).
And the drivers are really hot.
