Does anyone have any idea why initially I started every word with a capital, and replaced every 'e' with a 'w'? That took a lot of editing!

If I leave all of it down, I put it behind my ears.  but I usually put little bits on both sides up in little clippies instead.

Lately though, I've been either getting up late or exercising in the am so I don't have time to fully dry it and then straighten it.  I hate how ratty it looks when I don't straighten it so I wind up putting it up.

Ha ha ha!  I forgot that was in there!

I think they stopped accepting submissions a while ago, otherwise, if the guy really looks like Kenny Rogers, I'm sure he'd already be on that site.  It seems to be the definitive work on the subject.

I'm glad it's still online though.

Personally, I will not REST until http://www.hatsofmeat.com/ is back up the way it was!!!   :evil:

Brown sandals (no socks, gar), navy blue cargo pants/shorts (the kind that zipper right off in case of emergency), navy blue t-shirt and navy blue Converse briefs. I like navy blue.

Do you know the one Demo ? The one I wore to that guys party near that place we sometimes eat when we near there. He totally tried to call me but I was like "Durrrrr; back off creep" ..........

I went in there one time with my brother (Who doesn't buy stuff from there) and I saw a bunch of 12-year-old kids in there wasting their parent's money on stupid shit like trucker hats and punk grl thongs.

I have black fishnet stockings that I got for $10 at the mall. That's $10 Canadian, so if you're in the U.S it's cheaper. I got them from a store called "Le Chateau" and I have a feeling it's a Canada-only store.

*grins* Glad to be of service.

Apparently someone has recently gotten the idea to drill a bunch of bore holes around "the money pit", line then with steel pipe and pump chilled brine through them in order to freeze the ground/water so it stops flooding the main pit.

My personal theory is that since the water line was a good 1-2 feet lower back when the pit was dug whatever flood gates were used to control the flooding are permenantly submerged or have decayed overtime so they're always open.

The freezing idea should work fairly well if that's the case.

I read "Angels & Demons" and just about clawed my eyes out it was so poorly conceived, written, characterized, executed, plotted, paced, and researched.  The characters were flat, unlikable, inconceivably stupid, and unbelievable, and the plot hinged on such bad science that most 8th graders could easily point out major flaws in his "antimatter bomb".  :roll:

I agree with all of that. But he's got some wacky ideas. Yeah, his science is way off, but from what I can tell his historical research is spot on. With maybe a few embelishments to make things more interesting.

But from the three of his novels I've read they all go something like this:

Something strange happens. The "expert" gets called in. Only they are capable of pulling all the pieces together and a wild around the world dash occurs. Somewhere in there the main character starts to fall for the supporting character. Lots of wildly improbable events occur that end up with the world saved, and the two aforementioned characters ending up screwing like bunnies.

The ending of "Angels & Demons" was so mind-numbingly stupid and unlikely that I literally threw the book across the room.

I'm half convinced that there is no "Dan Brown".  I believe that his novels are written by a piece of software that's set up with default templates for his characters, plot devices, and dialogue.

Oooh... I should write a program that does that.  I'll call it "Novel Generator".  I bet it could turn out better stuff than Danny boy could any day.

Yeah, I agree with you guys.  I read the DaVinci Code, and was sorely disapointed.  It was good at first because a lot of his ideas were based on historical fact, but then a little ways into the book he started leaving fact behind and really taking liberties with the reader's intelligence.  The only reason I finished it was that I couldn't figure out who the antagonist was.  Well, that and this weird compulsion to finish any book I pick up.

Anyway, yeah, I was disappointed.  I doubt I'll read anything else by him.  On a possitive note, after finishing it, I found a fantasy omnibus written by Elizabeth Moon.  I didn't know she even wrote fantasy, so I picked it up.  Turns out it may now be my favourite fantasy of all time.  Certainly up there, reguardless.  

Omnibus: The Deed of Paksenarrion
Books contained: Sheepfarmer's Daughter, Divided Allegiance, and Oath of Gold

Looks to be three more related books that I'm about to start looking for, Surrender None, Liar's Oath, and The Legacy of Gird.

I feel that way sometimes. Like even though I'm just jet-skiing towards 40, I still feel like I just got out of 7th grade. At least, maturity level wise.

About a year ago, I stopped wearing boots every day and switched to running shoes.

The black t-shirt and blue jeans are still daily wear.

I haven't worn a watch in years. I like watches. I should strap one on occasionally.

I like ties, too, but at my age they don't go with t-shirts unless I also tear holes in my jeans and talk with a fake British accent and apropos of nothing say stuff like "What, Sid? Sid Vicious? The Sidster? He was me best mate! I'm still broken up about it. Despondent. Got a fag?"
