It's hilarious how it seems the same people that keep saying we "actually" lost in Iraq are the same ones pointing out our continued "occupation". I never heard of the loser in a war being the Occupier. Or the loser helping the victorious set up and provide security for the first real election in decades. Or the loser helping to build up and train the new victorious country's military. I know; I know; I see it alla time online- all that means NOTHING because
 B|_|$h  1$ S700pid OMGLOL!!! And (h3n3`/  i$ teh Suxx0rz!! LOLs!!!!

bullenschwein!! (blame melian for that, she's standing behind me)

I never heard of a country who lost a war yet kept loosing troops in the country it was occuping (did i write that the right way?)

Anyway i don't care, we're about to start getting oil from Venezuela, that should lower the prices a little bit

Viva Chavez y la república bolivariana de Venezuela!!!!!
Festejen uruguayos festejen!!! q la victoria es nuestra

I never get sick of that last phrase

And right now the US military is overstretched. They could probably pull off some bombing raids, but an Iraq-style invasion doesn't seem very likely. Invading Iran would be nothing like invading Iraq. Plus, Russia continues to play very cautious. Today they said that UN sanctions should not go into effect until the UN has unquestionable evidence that Iran seeks nuclear weapons. No strong evidence apparently exists right now.

But it remains a scary time. Eeek.

I agree is like iran's prime minister (or is it president?, i'm starting to doubt now) said, iran is not iraq

I think that by attacking iran the us would be going too far. Specially since russia and china are not to fond of the idea.
I'm afraid that because bush thinks he won the war in iraq (which he clearly didn't) he may think he can do the same in iran and that's not the way it works.

Still... i'm not that scared, this country seems to be in a different planet, it's normally not affected by this kind of things, even during the world wars (they didn't use to call us the switzerland of america for nothing). However, i'm not too happy about the idea of someone dropping a nuclear bomb anywhere... that does scare me a little

My original guess was next year, when they said they would retire from iraq (yeah, right)
However,  i know think they wan't wait that longer and give them that much time to develop an atomic bomb (which, if you ask me, they already have so what difference does it make)

Still, I don't want it to happen either, the prospect of WW3 is not one that i like (or has ww3  already started?)

Many things bother me, having to do a drawing 3 times because i'm so stupid i can't draw a straight line, teachers who believe you live for their subject and Argentina
That's what's been bothering me the most lately... Argentina and their stupid president. Why do they always vote for idiots? and then they go and force them to leave in a helicopter because they suddenly decided they weren't happy with their decision... I hate them:x ... stupid argentinians...

This subject is being discussed in my country right now. Although some politicians (our president among them) are against abortion others want to legalize it. There was this thing about something the president might've said but i'm not going to get into boring details.
The reason i said that is because due to this i've been thinking about this a lot lately.
However, i'm not sure what my views on this subject are. I do know i agree with Phife, in case of rape, incest, etc i do believe it should be allowed. But i'm not sure about the other cases. I don't think it should turn into some kind of contraceptive. It worries me that, if legalized, people might start thinking why should i use protection when i can just and have an abortion if i get pregnant?

we don't have that problem in spanish

Unless someone calls it "paises bajos" but most people don't. At least not here.

Political Opinions / The Society: On Religion

"that's the only way you'll avoid floating in the void" (i hope that translation's good enough)

That's, obviously, not a phrase i came up with, but it does pretty much sum up the way  i feel about religion.
Without it there are so many questions that cannot be answered. Being in that  situation is really scary for some people and that's when religion comes into place. It gives them the answers and with it a certain security in their life, it conforts them.
That's the porpouse with which religion was born, it's  just a way to answer those questions.
Of course then we moved on, something called philosophy appeared along with science. However, they haven't solved everything and so some people still rely on  religion so they don't have to think about those unsolved mysteries. It does make things easier.

PS
this is quite offtopic but… was eve a midget?

that's just plain ignorance, i wish i could explain it to you but my english is not good enough, actually i'd even have to check some words in my own language and that would take up too much time

I hope somone else explains it all to you cause i don't want to spend time and effort in doing it my self. I am not as optimistic as others, i don't think stubborness can be defeated.

Anarchy / Holiday plans?

Well, I spend christmas eve with my mom's family and i hate most of them, so it`s not something i enjoy but at least that's the night i get more gifts so it's just a price i have to pay (it's not that i'm materialistic, well, may be just a little bit, but the thing is that since i'm not religious that's the only special thing about christmas: presents)

The 25th though is great, that's cause i spend it with my dad's family and i get along really well with all of them. We go to my cousin's pool (remember it's summer here), eat some burgers and just have a good time (there are also presents which are definetly a plus ;))
