And V, while I do have a tendency to rip through an author's works in entirety from time to time, I usually hop around more than I have been. But I've been meaning to reread the Piers Anthony series' I enjoyed as a teen, and I never actually read the Bio of a Space Tyrant series back then, mostly because I could never find the damned thing.

Last year I read the entire Ender series by Orson Scott Card, from beginning to end. I found that it worked best by reading Ender's Game, then then entire Shadow series, and THEN going back and reading Speaker and Xenocide and the other ones that came after it. They just flowed better that way, and I found for the first time I actually enjoyed the other books (whereas before I couldn't stand Speaker and Xenocide when I read them years ago).

Ender's Shadow was the one about Bean, right? I read the entire series prior to seeing Shadow. I really liked Shadow's 'other side of the story'. I actually lent my Ender's series to a co-worker and told her to read Shadow second. She liked them, but got lost after Speaker.

I have to say that I really didn't like Xenocide all that much. It felt like it got SO bogged down in itself. It felt like it got really serious and almost - I dunno, dogmatic?. I really had to work to get through it. But, I did like Speaker, although not as much as Ender's Game. I also really like Children

This is my first time reading them...I don't know how I've managed to not pick them up over the last 20 - 25 years. Ender's Game absolutely blew my mind. I loved it! Now that I'm through the Ender series, I'm going through the Shadow series. So far, I loved Ender's Shadow. I hope the next ones stay as good. I really want to see Bean just crush Achilles, so don't ruin it for me. If that doesn't happen then I will be seriously bummed.

I loved the Shadow series. In my mind it's what should have come immediately after "Ender's Game". He should have written that other stuff later.

Currently working on A Dance With Dragons by George R.R. Martin, Juxtaposition by Piers Anthony, and Rise of the Machines by David Hagberg.

I found I really enjoyed the S.M. Stirling Terminator trilogy. Extremely well-written, great job reconciling a lot of really confusing timelines with characters one actually cares about almost immediately, especially the last one. I'd love to see movies based on those three... they'd be a great bit of sci-fi and add some depth to the franchise.
