Yeah, I was wondering that too. Why's it only affect the front page, for one?

Well, I'm pretty sure the forum and the main page are on separate servers.

But I was under the impression that Chris hosted both on his own.

Chris, did you set yourself a bandwidth quota that just got blown?

Better watch it, man.  You might end up having to pay yourself extra for the extra bandwidth.

Nah, I wish I hosted these sites on my own server. There out in a datacenter in California. The company that manages mine has about 35 servers out there. I actually talk to the admin quite frequently on AIM about computer related stuff. These sites are also both on the same server.

All is back to normal now. I adjusted the quotas on the site, so there shouldn't be any problems. At least for a while.

Just for kicks, would you share some traffic stats?

I Sure can.

Currently for this month of February, gotthegeek.com only averages about 260 visitors per day with about 4300 hits. Last month gotthegeek.com averaged about 262 visitors per day, with about 5086 hits per day. This is a significant decrease from last year, with the best month averaging about 2157 visitors per day, producing about 50,000 hits per day, using about 16 gigs of bandwidth for that month. Geekforum.org averages about 168 visitors per day, with an average of about 11,000 hits per day.

These two sites also send each other the most traffic.
