Generally anything homemade. I absolutely love borscht, as well as any other homemade soups.

I like my beef stew that I make.

But the best soup I ever had was a pasta and bean soup that Needles made me.  It was fantasic.

Current favourite: Cream of Asparagus, since asparagus is in season.

Like Dark Shade, I love borsch, but the family recipe takes 3 days to make.

THREE DAYS!

I've never really liked soups or stews, but tortellini soup is probably my favourite among them.

Some of the goulash we had in Hungary was fantastic.  I love country captain soup, potato leek, the zuppa toscana which I'll have tomorrow at Olive Garden, albondigas soup especially the one I had at Casa Lupe in Sunnyvale.  I also love pho.  But the best were several of the cold soups we had on the cruise we took a couple of years ago.  I would kill for the recipes.  As for stews, we make this fabulous veal stew that we found at epicurious.  Kabul serves this wonderful lamb stew.  I also make several variations of beef stew which are all tasty.

Wow, you've been grounded for a long time.  Congratulations.

Some of the lessons I did this week went really well.  That always feels good.  With my 6th graders, we played Inference Charades.  They really liked that and they cracked me up.  I've got quite a few actors.  They did so well with that game that I went out and bought Apples to Apples Jr to play next.  I only have them for another week. I figure that will help out with their vocabulary (that's my reading class).

Today in math, I had them come up with a catch phrase or lyric to their favourite song...between 5 and 10 words.  They drew a line under each letter and then tranfered that to another paper.  I had graph paper with 26 plotted points labeled A-Z.  So they had to put the coordinate under each space where the corresponding letter goes.

Now I have a whole bunch of codes for future classes to crack for coordinate point practice.  Why not let the little minions do my dirty work?

Did you have a program that reads the web for you?

No I meant books. Novels.

However, if there is a program out there that could scan the contents of a webpage and read it back to me, I would be very interested!

I purchased a ticket to the final show of the Zappa Plays Zappa tour.  I'll be going to the Warfield on the 24th of June to catch it.  I also made reservations to travel to IAD May 12-15 to catch my friend's graduation on the 13th (PhD in Medieval Studies).
