I was pleasantly surprised at Silent Hill.

But at the same time, I should justify that by the fact that since it was a movie based on a video game, my expectations were pretty much rock-bottom.

Still, I thought it was a decent enough film.  Far better than any other movies based on video games to-date anyway.

Like what was it...House of the Dead? That horror movie that was based on a video game, and it kept switching from real actors to scenes from the game...that was TERRIBLE.

The Doom movie was one of the best I've ever seen, bar none. It had something that few movies can claim...I call it 'purity of essence'.

Video game Movies usually suck pretty bad. Tomb Raider is a lovely example.

The only one I actually liked was the original Resident Evil.
