Invisible gays tend to be alot more hated than the proud ones. Supposedly if a homophobe knows who to avoid then there's less chance of catching gay...

There are many things about this that bug the crap outta me.  The biggest one is the hypocrisy.  What happened to them being against the death penalty?  "It's okay, we're still against the death penalty.  Unless you're gay.  If you're gay, you totally deserve to have your head FUCKING CUT OFF!!!"

It's because gays aren't human and therefor aren't privileged to rights reserved for humans. Like strays, they like to cull the population when there are too many crowding the streets.

Don't get me wrong: I'm not an atheist, and for all intents and purposes I AM Catholic.  I just believe very firmly that the humans representing the Catholic Church have made a giant mess of things.  Humans aren't God.  Human's can't know what God knows.  Humans claiming to have the inside track on what God really wants actually don't: they have their own ulterior motives for whatever reason.

Let me make something else absolutely clear: I was raised a true-believing, God-fearing, rank-and-file Catholic, so full departure from that is very hard.  But life taught me that the world isn't black and white.  It's one thing to sit up in your little corner of the world, referring to gays as "them" and spouting off about the "gay agenda" and so on and so forth.  It's another thing entirely to build relationships with friends, family and co-workers who happen to have different sexual preferences than you do.  Given the culture from which I come, it's very easy to belittle "that gay guy".  But given the friendships I've formed, it is utterly impossible for me to want to deny (names redacted) life's joys and comforts - such as love and marriage.  (Names redacted) are real people I know and like and respect, absolutely no differently from the way I know and like and respect my friends who are atheists or welfare-statist Democrats (for instance.)
