Difficult test question... anybody please???
« on: September 18, 2009, 06:58:46 PM »

A CD-RW with a record speed of 20X can record at what rate per second
A. 2 MB/sec
B. 3 MB/sec
C. 4 MB/sec
D. 5 MB/sec

I looked in google... wikipedia, no answers. I know that probably sounds naive. Does anyone know where I can find this information. I have a 50 questions take home test... that were not in the readings... argh.
Thank You!

I won't give you the answer but I will give you a hint.

A single speed drive records 150k. Now all you need to do is some basic math, convert to MB and then you'll have your answer and we'll never hear from you again.

I put that (A CD-RW with a record speed of 20X can record at what rate per second) in Google and the first link gave me the answer.

Nope, now I'm converted.

It's 3 MB since 150k x 20=3000kb=3MB

Now I know that it does come up in google if you know what to look for. Thanks! I also now know the conversion chart from Kilo-Mega-Giga-Tera-Peta-Exa-Zeta etcetera bytes. Thanks for your help. I will have other questions and I thought was really cool you posted a hint not the answer.

I joined during the first shipwreck of the mighty HN.  Then it arose from the dead in accordance with prophesy and then died a few years later again.  Damn Turks.

At least we can say "It was "the Turks" that took us down"... not like "some skiddie fucked up the forum for us and CG just never put it back"

A real easy way to find out is to, oh, I don't know, burn a cd at 20x.

Cherubim is plural; Genesis 3:24 specifies one flaming sword. Presumably flaming swords were in short supply."

The truth is actually sadder:

Some Turkish skiddie fucked up the forum for us and CG just never put it back.
