Star Wars 1 through 3

Why is it that every time I here about star wars 1-3 it is about how they sucked compared to 4-6? Personally, I thought that episodes 1-3 were a lot better compared to 4-6. Am I the only person on the earth who thought 1-3 was better?

Yes.

1-3 takes away the sense that the movie watcher can imagine or invent what happened to get these people to where they are, and in that sense, they suck.

Also, on a stand-alone review, while the effects of 1-3 were wonderful and gorgeous, the acting was lacking in certain areas and many would like the stab Jar-Jar multiple times until he and his horrible accent bleeds to death.

Not be mistaken, there are parts of the new trilogy that I like, for instance, Padme's wardrobe rocks, but then I'm a girl, so that works for me. Also, I happen to think Ewan McGregor is hot and I'll watch the whole thing just for him. Hayden Christensen is okay when he's not actually trying to act. Cause he ain't that great at it. Neither is Natalie Portman. Her wardrobe did most of the acting for her... and her wardrobe did a wonderful job.
   
I will still watch the new trilogy. I like Ewan McGregor and Padme's wardrobe. I like the effects and there is of course, R2D2. Not as much of him as I wanted, but he is there. But, yes, I must agree, compared to the exceptionally constructed original, it sucks.


Also, Padme is a cougar. LOL

I just watched II and one thing I didn't notice the first time was that the jedi extras in the last few scenes look, fittingly, a bit like Star Wars Kid, making silly poses and waving around lightsabers.

When Ep. 1 was still in theatres, strangers -- mostly women -- would stop me in the streets to say "Did you know you look like Liam Neeson from Star Wars?"

So Ep. 1 is clearly the best.

But the best movie EVER will be the A-Team movie. Here is why:

One day about 30 years ago I looked in the mirror and exclaimed "Holy Moley! I look just like George Peppard as Banacek!" This was not a vain or egotistic opinion -- merely what I thought was fact. I did not think George Peppard was especially handsome, and would much rather have looked like Cary Grant or Mike Nesmith. But, alas, my genes conspired otherwise. Anyway, no one else but me thought I looked like George Peppard as Banacek, and the older me did not look like the older George Peppard except in a vaguely tribal way, but I nonetheless kept the connection alive (see avatar at left -- that's a young George Peppard from Breakfast at Tiffany's).

And now, years later, the only famous guy that people have ever said I look like will play the role made famous by the only famous guy I ever thought I look like, closing a cosmic circle of celebrity resemblance destiny.
