BizB's CRACK TEH CASE: Case of the buttered feather

For those of you not familiar with Crack teh Case, here's the gist:
I will offer a short description of the end result of a mystery story.  Your job is to discover how we got to that end point.  You do this by asking questions that I can answer with "Yes" or "No" responses.

You may only submit solutions via PM to me.  Any solutions offered in the thread will be ignored.

The person who solves the mystery will be awarded 755,002,001 Coolio Points.
The case:
The case of the buttered feather

The story:
Five girls stand around a table each with two fingers touching a feather and butter smeared on it while Samantha's father is out searching for his daughter.
