Title: Casual Geek
Post by: wordswords on November 26, 2010, 08:51:56 PM
Hi gang,

I am David. I have been geeking about from a young age. There are pictures of me typing away on a BBC microcomputer, aged 4. I am now aged 28 and still have a fond enthusiasm for all things computer-like. At the moment I am working at the BBC in their future media department, doing technical things with computers. So I guess not much has changed :)

I were going to go on a Geek Challenge quiz, these would be my speciality subjects:

* Web development with PHP/MySQL/XHTML
* Linux server and desktop administration with Ubuntu/Debian/CentOS
* Shell scripting and other Linux command-line voodoo
* History of the internet + associated trivia

And these would be subjects I'm wanting to learn more about:

* Java development
* Software engineering processes and methodology

Well that's me! Glad to be here.
- David

Hey, new person! History of the interwebs, eh?

Who was responsible for integrating the ether into the net?

Didn't Defect catch Nex with a net after he ethered him?
