Yellow Journalism in it's Finest
« on: September 25, 2006, 02:35:06 PM »

I always thought Bill Clinton was a smart guy, but watch what he does to this reporter.  I get so sick and tired of seeing reporters pulling that kind of stuff, and it was really nice to see some one do something about it.  I hate how conservative media will host a liberal figurehead, or visa versa as often, just to appear to be neutral.  Of course, once the individual arrives for the interview, they get bombarded with these little pokes and jabs in an attempt to make them look stupid.  We've got some sorry political leaders in our country, but I firmly believe it's a sorrier media that makes decent ones look worse.

I wasn't too thrilled with Bill Clinton when he was president, but as an ex-president, he's pretty cool.

Bill Clinton has to be my fourth favourite president in the 20th century. Seriously, I really regret that that guy couldn't have run for another couple of terms. He was what this country needed.

A tricky Dick fan, eh? Good call, he was just what the country needed at the time. Clinton is very smart, and has provided plenty of quotable phrases that'll keep me chuckling for years to come. Reagan...I disagree there. In my opinion, he was a moron who in no way warrrants all the admiration he gets from people now that he's finally shuffled off.

I like Nixon because of his ability to adapt to the situation. When he served under Eisenhower he was tough on communism, but then when things changed and he became president he established peaceful coexistance or detent, which was just what both contries needed to get their economies back in gear.

Clinton and Reagan I like for similar reasons. They were smart and they didn't play into Washington's little game of politics so much. They actually accomplished things and didn't succumb to part pressures as much as most others. The reason most people like Reagan was because of his economic policy (which I do think is a good one during certain times) and it's because he was the one who burried the soviet union with the arms race.

Like Evonus pointed out.  Regan had some obvious sucesses.  I've stated plenty of times in the past that I don't think you could be a true moron and become President of the United States.  I think Regan deserves the term far less than many, in any case.  Just because you don't agree with some one's policies doesn't make them less intelligent.
