I used to like the original NES Castlevania soundtrack.  Another favourite of mine was Ninja Gaiden II.

FFVII without a doubt.  And not just for the well known tracks (OWA, J-E-N-O-V-A, Etc.) but crap like Interupted by Fireworks and Sending a Dream Into the Universe too, Nobuo is an all round genius in my books.

Pitfall also had a good soundtrack.  There was this game for the Mac, back when we had the Quadra 660AV, called Solarian.  I seem to remember cool sounds in that one, especially the "Eh" guys.

Pitfall II for the Atari 5200 had one of the most catchy themes ever.

Doom and Castlevania will always be among my favorites, but I'm a rock guy.

www.ocremix.org for those who don't know is a pretty decent place for remixes.  I know, how could anyone be that nerdy.  Well, I am and I know it's time to come clean...  I'm hardcore nerd *head sag*

I just played it again, and I realize that the NES batman soundtrack rocks.

Hell yes he is. Although I think his best theme is the redone Chaos Temple theme from FF:Origins. I can loop it for hours.

You get +1 for this. Also, people need to give Garland more credit. I had a party of four black belts. True to his word, he knocked them all down.

Wow, I didn't know it was possible to lose to Garland. Did you equip them with anything?
