Cornhole, bags, bean toss it goes by several names but around here it's called cornhole. Virtually anyone can play. It's a simple game really. Just throw a bag in a hole on a board. It's been growing a lot in this region and I've played in several tournaments since last September. I've been having a ball with it. Oh and don't have the sound turned up loud if you're at work. It's not really not safe for work but you may get some pretty strange looks when they shout out cornhole. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io8X4pz_QJ0or here is a more down to earth explanation: http://www.americancornhole.org/professor-cornhole.shtml

I know the damage it did down south. In his track you expect to get rain and thunderstorms even up here in Kentucky. But Sunday really made a mess around here. A quarter of a million people without power, trees down everywhere, business/schools closed, gas stations with gas in short supply, plus we sent 250 of our utility workers south on Saturday. They are now due back today. We were lucky and finally got power back last night about 9 PM, about 32 hours after it went out. Some people will be waiting 7 to 14 days with the latest estimates. I went to our shop yesterday morning and got a generator. I was able to cool our fridge down along with three other neighbors taking turns with it. I got to spend yesterday afternoon cleaning up all the limbs, leaves, and debris scattered in the yard. We had 50 MPH winds sustained for over and hour with gusts they say from 75 to 85, depending on who you listen to. Aren't these things supposed to slow down over land? I'm not sure of the distance as the crow flies but driving to my sisters place in Lake Charles LA is just under 1000 miles. Sheesh. Anyone else in his path have this kind of a wind event? Edit:With everything as screwed up as it is at least they did get the power back up at Valhalla golf club for the Ryder cup to go off without a hitch.

Is anyone else getting this error quite a bit lately for this place?
In the past week I seem to get it quite often.

Did anyone else feel the effects of the quake in Illinois this morning at 5:37 EDT?
I was drinking coffee in the kitchen when I thought the washing machine was out of balance. Then realized it wasn't turned on. Only about 5 to 10 seconds was all I felt in Louisville KY.

I don't know how many of you have heard of this but here is a link on how it operates. http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Peter-Answerspeteranswers.com is a clever way to freak out your friends at a party. But if you do it they might not want to let you up from the keyboard. He won't give actual answers to just anyone.

HN that is. For the last two days it just keeps waiting, and waiting, and waiting to connect. But it never does. Doesn't even seem to get a time out error.
I take that back. I let it sit waiting for quite a while and it finally said the document contains no data.

Okay I know this isn't a help forum but....
Has anyone else had this browser simply die on them? It's been my default for a long time and I've had no complaints. But a week or so ago it simply will not find any site on the intraweb thing. I tried uninstalling with windows control panel. Although this said something about H_key_ local something uninstall file could not be found. Sorry but it has been a week or so. Went to mozilla.org, and the faq's said to simply delete the mozilla folder, tried that and installed the latest version and still get nowhere.
God I hate Explorer. I miss my old browser.

Is anyone else experencing this problem?
When I click on new post since last visit, if I click on the thread title instead of the little icon to take me to the latest post I get an error message.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: phpbb_rtrim() in /home/geekforu/public_html/viewtopic.php on line 498
It only seems to do this in the manner I described. If I go to one of the forums and click on the thread title it works fine.

Judgie. Since you don't seem to frequent another board as much as you used to, I've come to tell you of a job. Demosthenes, SpurtReynolds, and myself have come up with something that should be right up your alley. We've been waiting a while for a reply.

Well it looks like CG is moving the HN forums back over to another server. So get ready for the influx of refugee's again. Thanks Chris for the use of the bandwidth. Perhaps this will be the last time. Although many of us have been visiting/posting since we found this island in the sea of the intraweb.

Hello all. For the regulars here, I like your site. The subject of this is to the HN members (who apparently took the site down without telling me LOL). Thought ya could get away didn't ya? About myself I don't know much to say. I'm a 40+ year old construction superintendent who's been playing with computers what seems like forever. The first one I had was a Timex Sinclair when they were new. Kind of got hooked and have been dabbling with them ever since. One question I do have though, Has the great one Pepe ever posted here? DC
