I scored 8, but maybe it's all false modesty because I'm pretty sure I'm more awesome than that.

The ability to compel teenagers to wash dishes and take out the garbage in a cheerful and timely fashion.

I dunno, maybe that's too super a superpower

Forgot them both in detail upon being awakened by the radio alarm, but I had two separate dreams last night and both were ultraviolent. Not usual for me.

Pelagianism
You are Pelagianism!

Named after its most famous proponent, the British monk Pelagius, Pelagianism taught that human nature is not compromised by original sin and that the will is therefore capable of choosing to follow the moral good without God's aid. Pelagius's fiercest opponent was St Augustine of Hippo, whose writings insisted upon the reality of original sin and the need for divine grace to perform any good works. Augustine's position won out over that of Pelagius, and Pelagianism was condemned as a heresy by the Council of Carthage in 418, a decision that was confirmed at the Council of Ephesus in 431. Despite this apparent victory for Augustinianism, the precise relationship between grace and free will remained controversial, and a variety of "semi-Pelagian" positions were taught throughout the fifth and early sixth centuries.

That's right, I'm Darth Pelagius, mofos  :w:

the Ruprecht jpg in your .sig is looking to me like part of the post every time and it's surprising how often it just makes perfect sense in context.

I donated all my Coolio Points to charity after i was caught doping to accumulate them.
I'd rather not talk about it.

With one or two dramatic exceptions my Facebook's not so bad right now! Lotta nice people, plenty of opinions but little acrimony, lots of fun news about music and babies and whatnot from folks I don't talk to every day. I'd think the world is all right, except for the middle east of course (those exceptions are dramatic). Many of you are strong contributors to this if-not-happy-then-reasonably-level situation and I thank you.

Oh and also I'd think my mom is nearly completely illiterate.

I'm trying to get my engineers to install a little electronic magnetic compass in the buoy system we're developing so we can tell if it's spinning. No point, if magnetic north's gonna be pointing to Indiana.
