I bid on this on the advice of a friend who was reading ebay descriptions on his cell phone (last time I do that, that's for sure). It was dirt cheap and it's probably crappy, but it turns out they won't ship to Canada. I don't want to make a big deal with the seller and screw up my feedback (I've only made 4 purchases on this account so far). If you want a free airsoft gun, PM me your shipping info and I'll send it on over. First come, first served.

. . . oh wait. It's you.
-
Yeah I know it looks incredibly shady but if nobody here wants the damn thing I'll just send it to a random US address...I don't want crap feedback.
-
What is it actually good for?
-
What is it? I don't get it.

Thanks for playing, I got bored. They wouldn't accept the Sacred PO Box, so I picked a random US building, looked up the address, and sent it there. Lesson learned: make sure you read the fine print really carefully.

Believe it or not I actually paused before sending it to the White House and decided against it. First, they'd think it was a bomb. Second, I don't like the idea of Bush with something so dangerous.

Airsoft is Pro-Life?
No. Just . . .soft.
-
So, is it a BB gun? Or pellets?
Hehee... I wonder why when those ship, they get the x-ray, but nobody makes a big deal out of there being a handgun shape in the packaging...
On the other hand, I guess if you hung it on a bridge in Boston, it'd get proper attention.

Well it IS plastic with a lot of metal parts inside. I'm sure the basic outline would look gunlike but unlike a standard gun. I'm pretty sure that airsoft guns are required to have the orange muzzle to identify them as such, but maybe that's not really a requirement.

Airsoft guns use small plastic BBs. They're propelled by either a small spring, or compressed air depending on the weapon used. My nephew plays with them because they're way cheaper than the paintball guns that he used to use.
-
To be technical, this specific one is classified as being electric because it uses a motor to compress the spring.

Airsoft's realistic weapon designs make it favoured by the more serious war gamers. Airsoft guys tend to prefer acting out real combat scenarios rather than just running around shooting each other as with paintball.
It is sort of like the difference between America's Army (airsoft) and Unreal Tournament (paintball). Since there is no reliable way to track hits with airsoft, they rely on honour. Groups tend to weed out the non-serious players.

Most guys I know just count by the welts.
