Mode of Transportation
« on: October 06, 2006, 06:36:20 PM »

I think I may purchase a vehicle as I'm growing tired of being hit by cars on my bike all the time and the winter is coming quickly. I'd like an older diesel van (mainly so that I won't mind if it is damaged slightly or what have you). Does anyone here know of (or have used at some point) a good model that meets these specifications?

The wife drives a green 2003 Subaru Legacy Special Edition station wagon.  I drive a 1994 white Subaru Impreza LE with the factory sunroof, power windows, and power mirrors (only 125 were made).  She has a Bianci Ocelot.  I have a Bianchi mountain bike.  We also both utilize bipedal locomotion.

I drive a 2000 Dodge Neon. Only paid 3500 for it, but we bought insurance because of the price and low-ish mileage(at the time 103k, now 108) we figured something was wrong, and there was. Month or so afterwards a cylinder kept misfiring so we took it in, and well I have the cylinder in my room, it was dented or somewhat and cracked the block. Got that fixed and she runs just like a little baby again. Get decent MPG-age too. 20-ish in-town and about 35 on the interstate.
