I've given considerable thought to this and I really wish I could afford to take a chance on it. The concept of sending programming work to India is not new. Companies have been doing it for years. Why not individuals?
Wouldn't it be cool to apply for, interview for and get hired in a position that would allow you to work from home - then offshore that work. Then, repeat it for another job, or two. After 2 jobs, you could probably hire some administrative assistant to take care of some of the management of work-flow while you sit back and count the money.

(forgive me if you've seen this on one of those other places we both frequent) I just finished my first flash project that wasn't part of a tutorial. It's a bowling score keeper. Play around with it and let me know what you think. BBCK and I have wanted a score-keeper program for when we play rebound-bowling. So, that was the goal I set for myself. Here's what I came up with... http://www.bizb.biz/images/2007-01-07/scorekeeper.swfSome of the features of this program are - One touch score entry. When you press the number or 'x' or '/' the cursor automatically advances to the correct place. It detects the number of players based on the player-name field.
- Strike - when you get a strike, a movie plays showing a strike
- Turkey - when you get 3 strikes in a row, it shows a turkey
- Reset button - The bowling pin on the right is the reset button to clear the scores
- Player order on reset - The order of the bowlers is reversed when the reset button is pressed

I was surfing the various liberal blogs out there when I came to a link for this site... http://www.militarycity.com/In my browsing of that site, I stumbled upon this image Pretty cool, eh? It's one of militarycity's "best of" photos. http://www.militarycity.com/valor/Photos/index.php?d=bestofBut, don't those soldiers strike you as odd? Certainly they're not trained to throw their arms and legs out as if they're pass-blocking for the Dallas Cowboys, right? And, wouldn't they want to space themselves out a bit so that they're not bumping into each other? I zoomed in on it and each of the men appear to be in the same exact pose. Doctored? Staged? Nope. It appears to be the real deal. Here's another shot of the same type of training. I wonder what the purpose is of keeping your arms/legs spread like that. Anybody have any insight into this? It's called "helicopter rope suspension techniques exercise"

For those of you not familiar with Crack teh Case, here's the gist: I will offer a short description of the end result of a mystery story. Your job is to discover how we got to that end point. You do this by asking questions that I can answer with "Yes" or "No" responses. You may only submit solutions via PM to me. Any solutions offered in the thread will be ignored. The person who solves the mystery will be awarded 4,355,002,001 Coolio Points.
The case: The case of the frozen boy The story:A boy is found curled up in a ball in a small hole at the base of a railroad-trestle. He is frozen solid.

I can't believe they used ALT-S for History. Now, I can't use it for posting messages on forums like this one. Feh.
Is there a way you can change the accesskey="s" to accesskey="p" or something?

In Toledo, the kids are only allowed to go house-to-house from 6pm to 8pm. I'm not sure when that became the rule. I don't think there were set hours when I was a kid. I suspect it has something to do with the "Hell Night" (The night before Halloween) activities in Detroit back in the 80s. That's when they started changing the date of trick-or-treat activities, too. I'm not sure that it solved anything, but they made it so that trick-or-treating didn't happen on a Saturday/Sunday.

I can't believe your insensitivity to this particular subject. If you can't feel any emotion for another dying human, then I suggest therapy.
Uh-huh. I can't believe you burst in here and demand an emotional response from a complete and total stranger about some 3rd party to which we have no connection, real or imagined. At least post a picture and tell me about the sob story about how she contracted this horrible disease by no fault of her own because she was in Mexico when she got bit by a huge spider and the only way to get the venom out was to suck it out. Then, to her dismay, the guy who saved her life also sentenced her to her death by passing on his HIV infection... ironically. And she has new puppies to care for, too.

Let's see what you can do to correct this painful email that was sent to me. Once again, I am asking for your help for another huge study. We need as many eyes possible due to the level of complexity and length of the project. It has so many different things going on and there are so many different paths to take, so once I hear back from all of you I will assign different sections for each of you to go through. Here is the plan of attack! I have came up with a testing plan which each item will need someone assigned to, a few people to test for timing, and a few just to run through as panelists to make sure everything is logically making sense. Please let me know if you have any time today or tomorrow to spare in order to make this project a success. Once I hear back from everybody I will send out the testing plan and what each of you will be assigned to check. Imagine. This individual is a college grad.

Microsoft's business model: Steal code from our competitors Include that code into our products Fight the law suits as long as possible Settle out of court for much less money than it would have cost us to buy the code we stole (at today's prices) Continue to integrate competitors code in our shoddy products and leave lots of security holes Create "new versions" of our crappy product which are just the same old same old with different security holes and sell those new versions as "new products" and now.... http://www.internetnews.com/security/article.php/3504816Sell subscriptions to security products which will protect your from our product!
