Clearing Fields
« on: June 21, 2004, 10:59:20 AM »

My computer has super memory or something.  When I start typing anything into a field (like Google or Username/password fields), everything I've ever typed in that field comes up in a dropdown box.  How do I clear that?

My big problem is that on a few occassions, I've typed my username and tabbed down to password and typed it before realizing that the tab didn't work.  So it's got my username followed by my password in the username field.  I need to clear that.

What browser are you using?  I'd try clearing your history and cache, for starters.  After that, it really depends on what browser you use.

As an addendum, if you're using Firefox 0.9, under Tools --> Options, there's a Privacy tab which has a Clear Saved Forms button.  That should do it as well.  Not sure about 0.8.

I'm using Crazy Browser.  I think I've tried that, but I'll try it again.  Thanks.
