Ann Coulter should go away and never speak again, living her life under the guise of a deaf mute, in the mountain range that is currently closest to her, whichever that may be, and if a bear happens to kill her, oh well... it's all for the best.

I really don't think your opinions are necessary, Vespertine. That's like saying, "I'll be back to post my opinions about the smell of rotting flesh".

I thought her famous quote about the 9/11 widows enjoying their husbands' deaths was in her book. Maybe it's in a later chapter.

I think what I'm most thrown by is this. Based on the first chapter, I can only assume the rest of the book in the same vein. This woman basically asserts that liberals/Democrats are godless heathens, and she even goes so far to say that she would be "crestfallen to find them in heaven". In the process of making this assertion, she spews bile and hatred and bigotry everywhere. Here's the part that throws me for a loop...isn't this vicious, judgemental bitch supposed to be a member of the evangelical, Christian right? Aren't Christians supposed to love their neighbor, turn the other cheek and all that good stuff? I thought that Christians, above all else, reserved judgement for God alone. The magnitude of her hypocrisy is amazing.

Too true. I was brought up in a christian home, still consider myself a christian, and try to live my life by those values. But some of the things people read into the bible and teachiings either go over their head or are taken to the letter and go against anything I ever believed in.
